I'm mad at the sheer mental gymnastics people are going through to find any excuse to deny the possibility of transfem ralsei. It's just stupid argument after stupid argument.
"You're only saying he's trans cause he's a feminine guy": That's not true and you know it.
"There's no signs": Well if you play the game with your eyes open and use critical thinking you might be able to recognize themes and patterns. Also Ralsei is the character whose entire arc is revolving around having an identity crisis so like.
"This is femboy erasure": Good. Trans Woman shouldn't have to live in a society where they're told "Just be a feminine boy, just be a more socially acceptable version of transfem without me actually having to call you a girl or respect that." Also if you're that pressed for gender nonconforming characters... *gestures at Blue in the same chapter.* You'll survive without men being centered for one second until the next "Femboy" character catches on.
"Flowery calling Ralsei Princess was him being a teasing asshole": N-no? Did you not play the game? That would be wildly out of character for him to be an unrepentant asshole after having a tender moment giving a peptalk and trying to motivate him?
"Ralsei's actually transmasc!": Headcanons are fine and all but if you actually genuinely believe this I'm afraid you might be genuinely stupid. Ah yes, the character who is forcing themself to be a Prince for the sake of the prophecy and has a complicated relationship about that fact definitely was a girl before and was pressured into being a boy to comply with the prophecy. Great transmasc rep. Toby Fox Definitely would write a character trying to support you and pep talk you to misgender a trans character post-transition. Yeah, the character whose entire thing is not having the agency to make their own choices and the angst that brings definitely has it together enough to have decided to transition of their own free will before the events of the game even start. Mmhm all that definitely makes perfect sense.
"What about susie why don't you think she's transmasc?": Susie's not the one whose entire arc is turning out to be about accepting that they actually are a person with desires and needs. Feel free to headcanon but that's not a reading that the text is backing.
"The ticket scene could have represented Ralsei's love for Kris and susie": oh boy this one pisses me off the most.
1: "The ticket is pink and blue, these are the colors of kris and susie" except Susie is Never referred to as pink and is always purple. Like the Purple ticket she took cause it matched.
2: "Well the blue and pink represents Kris's dark world color palette and the green and yellow is Light world." Going by the same logic, would the Susie ticket not be Purple and Gold, since thats a secondary accept color on her that's never commented on? Because Kris is Blue. Kris is only ever referred to as blue in the dark world, the pink is never remarked on. If that was really the intent why would it be a color that is never actually brought attention to before now?
Even assuming the pink and blue DOES represent dark world kris, what is the scene even trying to say at that point? We all know, and are well aware that Ralsei likes Kris. is it trying to say Ralsei prefers Kris being around in the dark world, despite knowing that the dark worlds will cause the roaring? That's a lot to try to say using tickets with two colors that "could mean anything." Especially when one of the colors, while present on the design, has Never had attention brought to it in game before this exact point.
And if the tickets Truly are representative of the heroes, then why isn't the third one green and pink or green and black? Why would kris get two tickets and ralsei none? Why would flowery go "Don't worry about kris, just get what you want?" if both the options are meant to represent Kris?
Do you think Toby is just writing shit for fun? Why, from a narrative standpoint, would you have such doubts about the most straightforward reading of "A character is offered a pink and blue ticket (trans flag colors) and then gets called Princess right after?" Either you are completely incapable of any form of media literacy, or you're just a bigot who hates transfems, and for many people it's proving to be the latter.
