she studied. a lot. she studied and took classes and worked part time to pay for the tests she had to take; her parents offered, but lily wanted this to be her thing. she wanted to do it on her own, didn’t have meaning if someone else gave her a free ride. too many of her classmates bailed on college because mom and dad footed the bill. wasn’t gonna be her. but as a consequence she missed out on all those so-called rites of passage, sex being one. her first night with dean a few months after they got together was terrifying. she’d like to think dean didn’t sense it, but she knew he did. but in the end, she found out she liked it, and him. she was still a bit of a blusher though.

there are things dean winchester never thought he’d type in a text, and that was one of them. he knew as soon as jojo came into his life that things would be different, and it’s to his little girl he owes the relationship he has with lily. he doesn’t want the word ‘domestic’ to label it, but right now, even an ocean away, that’s exactly what it is. it’s no secret he’s crazy about her, even if he hasn’t used the big L word yet. he wouldn’t trust his daughter to her if he didn’t love her. he’d have let her stay with his big oaf of a brother or one of his buddies wives. but he loves seeing the two of them together and he knows lily makes jojo happy.
