Daredevil pretty much fell onto his couch. It had been a long evening of fighting, followed by an hour of digging through the rubble to find what remained of his boyfriend before the cops arrived, and ended with making his way home, carrying the body part so Deadpool could regenerate. He felt exhausted.

Matt tore off his mask before placed the head into his lap and immediately starting tracing the over the exposed shifting scars, just like any other time he waited for the man to regenerate. His heart broke a little every time Deadpool died. He knew the man would come back, but it was still hard watching someone you love suffer.

The redhead didn’t even realize he had dozed off until he felt the shifting of the Wade’s head in his lap. He moved his hand along the head again, pulling off what was left of the man’s mask.

“Oh hey, Matty-babe. Didn’t mean to wake you. Did you have a nice rest?”

Matt hummed as he threw an arm over his eyes. His mouth turned up in a slight smile as he felt Wade’s head shift his lap, obviously trying to move. The man let out a grunt of triumph at getting into the position he wanted. Matt’s thumb brushed his cheek. Wade purred at the touch before he started humming “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Matt knew from experience it would be quite a few hours before Wade’s body was back and in working order. And when it was, Wade was going to eat enough food to feed a small village.

Until then, Matt was going to enjoy this.
