Hamburgers are not made of prime beef. They are made from less valuable cuts of meat. And from dairy cows that are too old to be productive and are thus seen as of no more use.

A liability. Something to be tossed aside and replaced with a younger female who will endure the same short life of misery - forced pregnancies, separation from her newborns. The endless milking to produce gallons more than their bodies were meant to. And the same horrendous death.
The dairy industry is the meat industry.

Veganism is often misunderstood as a quest for purity or perfection, but at its core, it's a philosophy grounded in minimizing harm. It isnât about achieving a flawless lifestyle where no harm is done because, in truth, such a life doesnât exist. Instead, veganism is about striving to do the most good and the least harm within our means.
Every choice we make - what we eat, what we wear, what we support - carries an impact. Veganism invites us to make those choices more consciously, opting for compassion where possible.
The idea of being â100% veganâ is, in many ways, a myth. Harm exists in all human activity, even plant-based agriculture. Animals are displaced, ecosystems are altered, and fossil fuels are used in production and transport. But veganism doesnât demand absolute purity; it acknowledges these realities while still aiming to reduce unnecessary suffering, especially when it comes to the exploitation of animals for food, clothing, or entertainment. Itâs not about never causing harm, it's about not being complicit in avoidable harm when alternatives exist.
At its heart, veganism is a practice of intention, not perfection. It recognizes that we live in a non-vegan world, where animal products are deeply embedded in systems and supply chains. Navigating that world with a vegan ethic means making the most compassionate choices we can, while understanding that perfection isnât the goal - progress is. Whether you're choosing oat milk over cowâs milk or saying no to leather, each act is a step toward a kinder, more just way of living. That intention - to reduce suffering wherever possible - is the essence of veganism.

7 000 000 000 male chicks are slaughtered every year on the day they are hatched because they canât lay eggs.
Surplus to the egg industry they are ground up alive, suffocated or gassed. Or simply left to starve to death.
The price thatâs paid for consumers to buy eggs can be counted in the billions.
