The younger blushes at the praise the other had given, but he doesnt brush it off. He takes it in stride because he loves it. Taemin would probably die if anyone stopped praising him cause he worked so hard.

“Its also weird, knowing I’ve debuted in three? Three? Generations of kpop. Its amazing. I’ve been doing my best to make my hyungs proud! Especially Jjongie hyung. I know he is especially proud of me! I also want to do my best so my hyungs can rest easy.”

Heechul chuckled as he could imagine how the interview with that host went. “I know how that feels. Back then, I used to talk about feeling like Paris Hilton when I shopped with my friends, but to meet her in person-- I became starstruck and shy. Their humor is definitely different compared to ours~ It’s not much of a surprise since we live on the opposite sides of the world. I recommend you guys get into shows in Mexico. Someone got to kiss me on the cheek; a dream come true for someone who gets the bare minimum these days,” he jested, covering his mouth with his hand to muffle his near-cackling. 

He blinked a few times as he absorbed the information that Taemin did debut in the three generations of k-pop thus far. He smiled lopsidedly (and in a rather bittersweet manner) at a name dearly missed by everyone. “Mm, I know he’d be the proudest of you. He likes talking about you so much, bragging about their gem of a maknae. How does it feel when your hyungs enlisted? Was any tears shed? I remembered the time when I cried for Hyukjae, Siwonnie and Donghae when they all enlisted... Looking back, it’s so embarrassing.” He sighed and rolled his eyes, smiling at the time when his personality began to become mellower.

“The world? You’re hanging out with the universe big star himself, so might as well go all out and conquer the universe itself,” he chuckled at his silly-sounding pronouncement. “So are you up for some good ol’ eating and drinking? I’m sure we have plenty of stories to tell each other.”

“Its very odd to be a hyung. I prefer to remain baby which is why I never took the leader role. I’m a mess haha,” but he smiles and pulls back, just looking so happy to see a familiar face.

“I do not have my hands busy, no. Not yet anyway~”

The hug caught him off quite off guard, but thankfully, he was more open in reciprocating physical affection these days, patting the other’s back in return. 

“In terms of seniority in your group, you seem to also be suited for the leader role, though Baekhyunnie’s the oldest~ Well, someone’s already the leader anyway, so why am I still bringing it up?” He shook his head and chuckled. “But you’re like the senior soloist in SHINee, right? For a young artist, you have so much to brag about already.” This was merely a small exhibition of his knowledge in the industry, since he especially did watch these particular juniors well.

“Oh, really? Then maybe we could catch up so you can talk about to me how it was in The Ellen Show? That’s like a big deal, right?”

The idol was lucky enough to have hung out with Beni whenever she dropped by in Korea, so now that he was free for a few days, he might as well fly to Japan to appreciate the sights, purchase some anime and game merchandise he had been dying to get his hands on, and especially enjoy company with friends who lived there. 

Unsurprisingly enough, he told his friend he was waiting outside a particular shop in Akihabara. He hadn’t bought anything for himself yet, but he felt like it was a good idea to showcase one of his interests, as it was an opportunity to also buy something for Beni as she had been nothing but kind to him for so long.

In Japan, his usual getup comprised of a shirt with a kanji that meant “iron” as a wordplay to his name while also wearing a face mask. His blond hair stood out, but then again, he was standing outside the entrance of an anime shop, so it didn’t look that odd for the usual bystander.

He was glancing around while thinking of what things he could possibly buy as a familiar figure approached in his direction. “Oh, Beni-chan~!” He flashed her a smile, bowing his head slightly. “It’s about time I got here in Japan instead, huh?”

After the episode of Unfortunate Fortuneteller aired where Heechul talked about his leg injury, even going as far as feeling apologetic to his group and fans if he ever planned on releasing a solo album because he still couldn’t perform with them as much as he wanted to. 

And as soon as articles about his rather sentimental story popped up, some members sent messages in their group chat where the gist was to encourage Heechul to stop feeling sorry for them and himself for something they couldn’t really control. 

On the other hand, the older male wasn’t surprised when Sunny decided to pay a visit to his home just to give him a piece of his mind personally, even so much as expecting it as he opened the door and let his uninvited guest come in.

“Yah, I told you to stop worrying about me. We’ve talked about this a million times before already~ Unless there’s something else you want to talk about.” He rolled his eyes, shutting his door and already making his way to the kitchen to fetch glasses of water for the both of them.

The older male’s perked up to a face he hadn’t seen in quite a while in person. “Yo, Taemin-ah~! It’s been forever.” He held up his hand in his usual informal greeting towards anyone he worked with, be it someone older or younger than him as it was considered one of his trademark mannerisms. 

“I’ve been seeing you everywhere lately-- at least in any kind of media. How does it feel like to finally be a hyung now? Or do you still prefer being spoiled by your hyungs?” He was obviously teasing hinted by his soft chuckling. “Looks like you don’t have your hands full at the moment, or am I just imagining things?” He dug his hands into his pockets, raising an inquisitive eyebrow.
