I can’t get over the fact that it’s in the show that Charlotte was sleeping with her therapist, Ted straight up says it with “Oh, I don’t know Charlotte. I’m not your therapist! You know, maybe you should go back to fucking him. Hmm? I know that’s why you actually went to counseling.” and every single person I know misinterpreted that line, including myself, so we’re all fucking floored by this revelation that we should have known from the start.
I always assumed Ted was referring to Charlotte getting back with Sam and that being the whole reason she went to counselling.

Dear Starkid Fans
Please stop harassing the cast and show them respect. They work extremely hard to produce the wonderful musicals that we watch. People spamming their live chats with weird shit does nothing except potentially making them uncomfortable and/or annoyed. Some of the stuff that’s said can get really weird, so just think about what you say so that these wonderful and talented people aren’t uncomfortable producing content for us. Six can easily be viewed as a discussion of the inter-generational struggles and trauma that women have suffered from men in power and men STILL want to make the show about them. The gender of the characters is woven into the story that is being told and informs the themes of the show and yet some people still want to try and give these struggles and apply them to men.
@wingedtacoearthquake I agree...the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Six can discuss the specific lives of the queens while also providing a discussion on today’s modern society and a commentary on the fact that the struggles women faced in the Tudor era are still prevelant now.
@the-mouth-albums Six the musical is absolutely a gender inclusive show, with the roles being designed to give all women (both cis and trans) and non-binary folk much needed representation in an industry which is primarily dominated by male voices. Six is trying to be inclusive of marginalised groups within theatre and tell stories that are still relevant today (with nb folk experiencing many of the same issues that women face within society). But men aren’t marginalised. They have hundreds of other shows. Six isn’t for them, and yet so many people try to make the show about men by replacing the queens with male historical figures or gender bending the characters,,,despite the fact that the struggles that the wives faced were inherent to them not being men. That’s what this post was about. Take Haus of Holbein...it’s a song about the insane beauty standards women have to met, and as such it wouldn’t work with a male character!

no offense but six is about women
it's so specifically about women that the entire point of the show is to draw parallels between the experiences of women today and women 500 years ago and to create roles for women (and nb people but the characters are still women) like do you know how rare it is to have an all female cast and band? and people see this and think 'i'm gonna make this about men' and i'm so sick of it i'm so sick of people taking these women and gender bending them and rewriting songs to fit their shitty male fave characters and saying 'but what if the show was about these male historical figures!' as if the fact that it's about the queens means nothing and people acting like the main audience is gay men and every male actor saying 'why don't we do a genderbent production!' bc they're bitter there's one (1) show that's barred to them like i'm so tired of this let women have ONE thing
