It’s Pride Month Eve, so leave out some milk for Freddie Mercury and his cats.
Annual reblog of Freddie and his magnificent cats.
happy Pride Eve!
Guinness World Records is recognizing Israel for their "kidney donation" record and so I think it's a great time to remind everyone that Israel has been harvesting the organs of Palestinians since the 1990s
You should read up on Yehuda Hiss who was the Chief Pathologist at Abu Kabir who was found to be taking organs from Palestinian corpses without permission and using them for research or selling them to medical schools were substantiated by the Israeli government.
There's also a book by Meira Weiss, an Israeli doctor, called "Over Their Dead Bodies" that details how organs taken from dead Palestinians were utilised in medical research at Israeli universities’ medical faculties and were transplanted into Jewish-Israeli patients’ bodies.
Euro-Med Monitor has also been raising the alarm on this. They've been asking for an investigation into how Israel has been unlawfully keeping the dead bodies of hundreds of Palestinians in its morgues or "Numbers Cemeteries" which are mass graves that are kept in subfreezing temps marked only by metal number plates.
Israel is the biggest hub for the illegal global trade in human organs. In 2019 the Israeli Supreme Court authorized the military to withhold the dead bodies of Palestinians to be used as leverage and by 2021 the Knesset had passed laws that allowed those bodies to be held for broader reasons.
Since the genocide began, so many Palestinians have talked about their family members being returned to them and missing vital organs
Just wanna make sure we're all on the same page here about Israel and it's relationship with organ harvesting since GWR wants to recognize them for "kidney donations"
OP I'm taking your tags because I know the Zionazis are gonna try it...
It's not libel if it's true
I need someone to edit Dragona to Princess of Power by Marina because it’s literally her song and I’m tired of daydreaming about her to it, and it’s getting to a point where I’m gonna do it myself.
i really like that the evil spirit calls dragona “big sis” as they are supposed to be jodio from dragona’s view
just knowing that the evil spirit knows everything abt the person they are attacking makes this wording sm better bc it shows that dragona wants to be viewed as a older sister towards jodio
i do wish we get more explanation on this topic of jodio still calling dragona his big brother but for now i will just assume dragona does not mind it coming from jodio due to them being extremely close and knowing that he doesn’t mean any harm by it
it also might’ve been a situation where dragona didn’t fully explain it to jodio which is why he still refers to her as big brother
i do really like how this is playing out as it is showcasing more struggles of being trans
jojo fans vs the concept of an unreliable narrator
Jojo fans vs Reading comprehension
I wonder if part of this stratification of Dragona’s identity comes from how she wants to be “out”. Like coming out to friends and family members is difficult so it’s just easier to force them to pick up the cues through your transformation visually or let them listen to the pronouns others use for you. Having a boyfriend who calls you a woman or a man you’re fleecing money from refer to you as ‘she’ is easy and affirming. Natural in fact. So my only guess to why Jodio still calls her his brother is because of their bond as siblings is so strong that she doesn’t mind it as much(?). And it’s harder to correct for Paco, Usagi, and Charming Man who are following Jodio’s lead on that. Maybe coming from her friends, being misgendered isn’t much of an issue or Dragona’s more gender fluid than I’m assuming.
No it's not libel if it's true
Uhm what!?!?
Can Zionists stop taking things like blood libel that are actually antisemitic and twisting them to fit their own narrative.
If there is evidence of Israelis killing Palestinian children, and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence, then it is NOT blood libel. That's not what blood libel means.

I told my friend today that Kars4kids wasn't a charity for needy children and it blew his mind so I figured you guys would wanna know this too.
Not only is Kars4kids not a charity for needy children, it's actually an organization with deep ties to Israel. Specifically it's linked to Oorah in Israel. If you're unfamiliar with Oorah the only thing you need to know about them is that they'll fund trips to Israel for youth groups/students looking to take a gap year in Israel and contribute to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
K4k sends 60% of the money they receive to Oorah and the rest goes back into marketing. They even spent like $20 million on real estate purchases in Israel.
They just got banned from advertising in California because of how they have mislead donors. Anyway if you didn't know now you know.
Uhm excuse me what!?!?
And this is their mascot...
This feels so wrong...
honestly, as much as i criticize ajw, i really do feel that he’s improving with each book he writes, and i feel like his protagonists reflect that.
benji was raised in a cult, yet is somehow still very accepting of cultures other than his own? he states that he doesn’t know which beliefs belong to him and which were just instilled into him at a young age, which i find very impactful, but his actions don’t reflect this. he’s genuinely so nice to everyone around him, it doesn’t make any sense. as someone who was raised in a very christian family that often punished beliefs that went outside our bubble, if i didn’t have access to the outside world like benji, i wouldn’t have ended up as open-minded as him.
silas is similar, but he has a little more leeway since he’s autistic and has been shown to not understand and therefore not care about social norms. but even then, he doesn’t have as much shame as the average autistic person in the victorian era would. he doesn’t feel comfortable displaying his autistic traits in public, but shouldn’t he be genuinely afraid to do so? for the longest time, i was convinced that something was genuinely just wrong with me, and it took until i got the help i needed to accept myself. silas didn’t get this kind of help, yet he has no issue accepting himself as he is. it’s lovely to see a character like this, it just does make sense in his setting.
miles is where we start to see some change. while he doesn’t have as much internalized ableism as i thought it would, it makes sense as it’s actually explained why he’s so progressive when compared to some of his peers. he actively reads progressive literature and engages in political topics, so his beliefs are more realistic (plus he’s the only MC so far that mentions that racism is A Thing lol). and even then, he still struggles to accept his autism. which makes sense! autism is barely being accepted now, so someone in 2017 would struggle to understand it. even if miles accepts that others have autism, he has a hard time believing that he does due to the stigma around it, which i heavily appreciate!
crane is kinda a special case? he’s never seemed interested in participating in society AT ALL, so even if he’s technically not officially diagnosed, it makes sense that he’s so casual about his autism. he’s sort of accepted that society doesn’t want people like him, so he has no reason to deny these parts of himself. i do think he should’ve been more active in the story, like trying to throw himself down the stairs or something, but that’s an entirely different post
obviously, i can’t say anything about morgan, blythe or gunwyn, but considering how much white has improved, i have high hopes! morgan’s entire story seems to revolve around him struggling to tell where he ends and where his father’s teachings begin, and i think that’s a very nice change of pace. and blythe is stated to be very ableist despite being disabled himself, which not only suits the 1600s setting, but it’ll also mae for an interesting story. plus one of his short stories mentions the surname lopez, so maybe we’ll finally get a nonwhite MC? white’s pretty fond of the book cemetery boys which has a latine protag, so maybe it’ll be similar? only time will tell. all i know is that i’m excited.
i know i think he has some intersexist tendencies, but considering how he’s (allegedly) a fan of multiple intersex people and follows people who occasionally post about our struggles, i’m optimistic that this will change. obviously, i can’t be too sure, but i’ve been told that i’m a very glass-half-full kinda gal
Yessss the way you can feel the improvement from each book to the next one is one of my favorite parts of his writing, you can tell he's trying to hone his craft and it's great to know that a writer places importance in stuff like that
Yeah, Benji absolutely should not be as chill as he is. He even has some lines that are like "being raised an Angel made me an asshole" or "thanks for the brainrot, mom" which is a very relatable sentiment to anyone who grew up in an extreme religious environment and realistic, but it's just not reflected in his actual thoughts and actions at all. He never really acts like an asshole except maybe that one time when he brawls with Alex, and that's because of Seraph, not because of his upbringing, so it feels weird that he thinks he is for no reason. I think maybe AJW didn't want to do messy/asshole MCs at the start of his career? He talks a lot about how the idea that trans rep can't be too messy or morally grey so it's palatable to everyone is something he had to unlearn, so maybe he hadn't quite unlearned it then and that's why Benji is stated but never shown to be mean? Either way, his character would have been way more interesting if he was allowed to be more messed up from his upbringing.
I love Silas soso much, but yeah, you're right with that too. He really should be more afraid of stimming in public, that can be super dangerous in his time. I think that might be due to the position of priviledge AJW is writing out of, where the worst thing he can imagine happening when someone notices you're autistic is judgement and yelling (which to be clear still sucks). In general, Silas is a really kind and gentle boy, and I like that about him, partially because it's such a great contrast to his surgical mind, but he's also allowed to be wrong about people sometimes. I think the best example of this is him just accepting whatever other people tell him about a person, such as immediately seeing Louise as a coward because Mary and Isabella said she was, even though she really doesn't even act that cowardly, and he is proven wrong in those cases.
And yeah, I also thought that Miles fully accepting that Amber is autistic, but not himself was really realistic. Also wish Crane had been more active in the narrative.
Yesssss I'm so exited for the how much of me is what my parents made me part of You're No Better and the lateral and internalized ableism aspects of Beast//Warden!!! (Tiny note though, B//W will be set in a setting inspired by the British Stone or Iron Age, not the 1600s, which makes the ableism make even more sense.)
I didn't even think of the possibility that the mention of the surname Lopez in one of AJW's secret short story snippets might mean that we finally get some more, and hopefully good, POC rep!!!! I really hope that ends up happening. I also hope he includes some intersex rep finally.

To throughly enjoy media is to criticize and critique it, and ajw definitely didn’t start off well , I almost DNF’d HFWU for those reasons listed.
Though I look forward to the release of you’re no better, I hope for growth and actual development of how ajw writes not only race but his MCs , We cannot keep having the same milk toast copy paste white trans man over and over again before it just becomes a trope at this point.
Okay I love ajw but like there are never pocs in his books besides hfwu which I get why white people can be uncomfortable with writing poc characters so I suggest this post blows up and I partner with him to write a book with a really strong black lead.
Andrew Joseph White actually write trans POC that aren’t tokenized challenge
Just so we’re all clear:
Things that you SHOULD NOT deadname
Trans women
Trans men
Non binary people
Any other trans identity that doesn’t fit into those three
Cis people who changed their name
Anyone who goes by a different name then the one their parents gave them regardless of how “good” of a person they are, or your personal feeling towards them
Things that you SHOULD deadname
JUST GOT SURPRISED WITH A TRIP TO DISNEY AHHHHHH
Sorry if this is a hot take to the Nathan Explosion fandom but I saw something on twitter. Don't call natives indian please. It is, in fact, racist. I know some will go by American Indian, but saying Nathan is an Indian Man on its own is extremely not correct.
He also isn't Native American, because native tribes aren't a monolith and are not all from the US. His heritage is from a largely uncontacted tribe in the Amazon. This is not the same as being a US native, but I (sometimes!) see some people use LITERALLY ALL native cultures interchangeably.
And maybe as someone who is pretty white this isn't my point to make but I think nobody would argue with me if I said you should look up actual tribes in the Amazon and native peoples in South America vs assigning what you've vaguely seen on TV about the Cherokee to Nathan. Because tribes are in fact different, with their own cultures.
I know the Yaneemango are made up, but like. Real tribes exist and you can borrow from them for your headcanons regarding his cultural ties. Rather than assuming everyone who doesn't have white European ancestors as far back as the day is long are actually the exact same.
Also, you can be pale and be a Native American or have roots in South American tribes. Nobody is in the wrong if they want to draw him darker, but giving him light skin doesn't erase his heritage and it isn't like, a mistake to be corrected, because light skinned POC of many kinds exist.
