“Well same to you buddy!”

“I had a feeling she wasn’t the outdoors type.”
The response came automatically, though the rebuttal had thrown the shadowhunter off-guard for a split second. Granted, a lifetime around Alec’s constant berating and Isabelle’s quick tongue had prepared him for just about anything conversational throw, which apparently included the small brunette girl who stood by the Moroi he’d heard so much about. The Clave hadn’t remained unaware of the changes at St. Vladimir’s Academy and the Moroi hierarchy, even if they hadn’t lifted a finger in aid despite the turmoil they’d experienced over the last few months. Honestly, Jace wasn’t surprised – ever since they’d captured Valentine and returned to the same ol’, same ol’, the Clave had returned to their half-assed, barely-functioning self, leaving all the hard work to the nephilim who had enough to deal with as it was. Alec had had plenty of complaints, of course.
Pulling his bike over to the side of the driveway and placing the kickstand down, the blond hung the midnight-black helmet off one of the handlebars before returning to the crowded entryway. There was a confidence in his step even though he’d never been to the Academy before as he stepped forward, just a few feet from the blonde beauty and her dhampir. Azure eyes flicked over each of them for a moment, admiring the beauty there silently, before he focused on the darker haired one who had spoken initially. For a second, his eyes narrowed as he examined her features closely… and realization struck, a sly smile curling the corners of his lips.
“Let me guess, Rose Hathaway?” he questioned, though he gave no time for her to properly respond, “Your face was on the top of the file for the academy. I’ve heard good things from Dimitri.” There was a slight pause before he stuck out a hand in her direction, the gold in his eyes glistening as the lamps surrounding them began to flicker to life, “Jace Wayland. I hope I can test out that infamous skill of yours for myself, assuming Dimitri’s willing to let you go for a day…?” While the words were questioning, there was arrogant tone to each and every syllable that practically leaked the lion-pride Jace was so well-known for.
“Not many vamps are. Come on, THINK dude.” Rose couldn’t keep her mouth shut. It was typical of her to be the loudest of the St. Vladimir’s students. No one was ever able to shut her up and OF COURSE she was going to be the one to push out from the crowd and bullshit in front of the member of the Clave checking up on the Dhampir’s and Moroi of the world. Well, at least the ones in training that was. The rest were watched over by the Court. Rose was always going to protect her best friend, she stood by her as anyone new entered the Academy and this night was no different. She watched the blonde park the motorcycle that had re-awoken everyone who was trying their best not to fall asleep during their last period classes and examined the tattoos all over his body. She knew from studies that he was in fact a Shadowhunter, one would be pretty stupid not to realise the runes across his body. Her heels moved along the ground, standing even closer to the gate, crossing her arms in front of the Shadowhunter as her head tilted to the side, her brunette curls falling along with her head. Of course he had HEARD of her, she had run away, taking the Princess along with her, Anyone who had anything to do with the Moroi world had heard of the HATHAWAY INDISCRETION, it was near impossible not to know of it. Everyone who was anyone was out for her head to return her to the Academy. But now that she was back, her training with Dimitri had brought her to everyone’s mind again about how GOOD she truly was. How she did keep the Princess safe. “Yeah. I’m Rose, this is Lissa and I’m sure you’ve already HEARD all about us. Wait, you know Dimitri? I didn’t think he’d actually say anything about me. We’ve only been TRAINING, I haven’t even been out in the field yet.” A weary hand collided with his, shaking it to be the nice girl that she could be but that she didn’t display to anyone but Lissa. “You are more than welcome to, I’ll take you out for a spin, I’m sure you’ll want to keep up your own training. I’m sure I can persuade him to let me go for a day.”

“Its because we are two very different vampires as we have establish that already. No, it isn’t that far, just around the curb and we will be there. Really? A burger? Such pub food.”
“Awesome, I am a TYPICAL pub food kinda girl. It’s the best kind there is, and it’s always good no matter what pub you enter. Safe, easy and yummy. Vampires are weird, TOO many breeds to remember.”

It was interesting, to say the least. A hybrid mix of human and vampire existing to defend such a fragile breed of vampire. In all her years, Tessa had learned to avoid the dhampir and moroi. Yet she couldn’t ignore the presence of the dark haired girl, who stood out like a campfire in a room of candles. She burnt brrighter than the rest, and Tessa could tell that she was one of them. Offering a tight smile, she spoke. “ Mundanes usually are not able to see through glamour. “
“Well maybe I’m NOT exactly a mundane...” Rose didn’t exactly appreciate a stranger assuming things about her, she was ready to pull her stake in an instant if she needed to, no one was going to get NEAR her Moroi - Lissa. She was set to protect the now Queen of the Moroi and Dhampir’s of the world she had been born into. The brunette in front of Rose made her slightly weary, she held herself like she was scoping out the place, like she KNEW who Rose was.
standsherground:
“Uh, you’re a tough cookie. Okay, fine, you’re hunting, you can protect yourself, you’re dangerous, grr. Got it. But why did you chose Beacon Hills out of all the places you could be. This town would so not be my first choice. I don’t understand how one can move here by choice.”
“It’s a town full of wolves, I NEEDED to be certain it was werewolves, not psi-hounds that could harm my Moroi. No other REAL reason why I’m here. I have to move around for my job, to protect the Moroi vampires, this isn’t the FIRST town I’ve been in.”
deceivingfacade:
“Yes, very true. Not everyone has the skill of compulsion. Some can easily break free from it. It would look weird indeed. Well come on, follow me.”
“Not in the world I live in, compulsion is a limited skill back at the Academy. It’s near IMPOSSIBLE to break free from it. I shall, is it that far? I’m thirsty and a burger is pretty much IN order right now.”
I shall be back on here and the other blogs i’ve neglected for a week or so tomorrow :) I’ve just had muse for other characters atm
loathedlineage:
“How does that exactly work– I mean, I thought youwere a vampire? Or … half vampire? But sure. Why not? Maybe I candress up as a computer and scare the bloody hell out of some wizards.”
“Well I don’t have fangs, or burn in the light with a PALE as all hell complexion. So not TOTAL vampire. I think that would actually WORK really well, maybe you should be an Apple computer, freak them out with FRUIT on your costume.”

@dhampirmarie :: Plotted Starter (Jace at Vampire Academy)
Shadowhunters and dhampir had never gotten along though their missions were, for the most part, identical: protect precious cargo and follow orders. Over time, a hierarchy had been created, and with angel blood pumping through their veins, the nephilim had quickly risen to the top of the food chain, much to the disdain of everyone else. So, whenever one was sent to St. Vladimir’s Academy to check on its status and events, most of the academy’s inhabitants met the shadowhunter with clear distaste and whispered rumors. More often than not, the Clave sent a low-ranking officer to the academy, straight from Idris without a reputation to boot… but as spring approached and the sun set on the eve every year when a shadowhunter came, the student body was alight not with disdain, but excitement.
According to the rumors, the Clave had sent one of their best to check in on the academy that year – Jace Wayland. The handsome blond had wracked up quite the reputation over the years among shadowhunters and dhampir, with more strigoi kills than anyone had seen in centuries. Young still and apparently single, his rapidly-approaching arrival had sent most of the female students (and some of the male ones) into an excited frenzy. The second the sun dipped behind the horizon, a good chunk of St. Vladimir’s population anxiously waited near the gates as the familiar sound of an engine approached.
Instead of the traditional black car that had been offered to him by the head of the Academy, Jace had opted to take his beloved, demon-energy-infused motorcycle, acquired after he’d taken down a nest of strigoi in Queens just earlier that year. It had quickly become one of his most prized possessions and, ever one for a dramatic entrance, it would do just nicely – sure enough, as he approached, he caught sight of a mass of shifting bodies in the distance. A cocky smile played at his expression as the bike, previously high up in the air, descended back to Earth just in time for the large gates to open. Slowing, one foot catching the bike as it stopped completely, he removed the obsidian-black bike helmet to reveal golden hair, which was pushed back flat against his head by a fingerless-gloved hand. Azure eyes, flecked with the same shade of gold as his hair, glanced over the crowd as the overly-confident grin grew.
“I’m looking for Headmistress Kirova…?”
Rose was just ONE of the many dhampir’s that roamed St. Vladimir's, she had only been brought back and she was already becoming one of the strongest novice’s in all of the Academy, with her strength only growing more and more rapidly as each day passed. Her private lessons with Dimitri had pushed her over the top and once her grades lifted, she could ALMOST graduate and be assigned her shadow-kissed Moroi, Lissa as her charge, but someone was coming to check on the entire Academy, a group of shadow hunters, a group of similar beings to HERSELF that she despised due to their incredible strength. Rose earned for it, she needed it to fuel her every being. Punching people and beings was kind of her thing, especially after what happened with Natalie, she would NEVER freeze again. The entire school had been buzzing with excitement, EVEN Lissa had been, but Rose was more focused on getting her own molnija marks on the back of her neck instead of the broken arm that had finally healed. She was back in action. She had decided to TRAIN through the night that the infamous hunter, Jace was to present himself to the Academy, she broke many a wooden board, stabbed a multiple of punching bags with little red dots in different areas to symbolise a Strigoi’s heart with a silver stake AND done many a lap of the gym where her and Dimitri had secret rendezvous’ that went nowhere and her lessons with him. The bell to end sixth-period rung and everyone crowded around the gates of the Academy, Rose was still patting herself down with a towel as she pushed through the crowd, of course, Lissa was at the front. Her eyes turned golden, connecting her to the blonde Moroi as she continued to PUSH her way around. All the royals and those protecting them were at the front, and Rose felt as if she should be there too. As soon as the motorcycle rode to the front, her hand grasped Lissa’s and brought her out of the unnecessary trance she involuntary ended up in. Rose BEING Rose moved closer to the front, shooing away the rest of the students so only the Royals and the Guardian’s (including Rose) were at the front. Which left her BIG mouth open to talk to Jace. “In her office. She doesn’t GREET visitors at the gate.”

OPEN STARTER (open to all)
“Hey, if muggles tend to dress up as witches and wizards for halloween … does that mean witches and wizards dress up as muggles for halloween?“
“I guess YOU have to, I mean, Halloween is a night where people are what they’re NOT. I mean I could be a vampire that night, should we go SHOPPING?”
deceivingfacade:
“The beauty of having family, right? Yes, to Strigoi not to us. Yes…and have you found anything interesting during your findings of this town? Its not far. I can carry you there but then I have to use compulsion for witnesses to forget a girl of 5′3″ carrying 5′4″ girl in her arms without ease. And I dont want to do that.”
“Yeah, I guess is KINDA is the beauty of family. I have found you to BURN in the sun and everyone has the skill of compulsion. I can just walk, I don’t need you carrying me. It WOULD look weird, so I can walk.”
suchfcn:
❝You should. I know this town like the back of my hand, and if I saw any running around, I’d be sure to make them run the other way.❞
“I don’t KNOW you, and you don’t know me, so why should I trust you in a town I never entered until YESTERDAY.”
standsherground:
“No need to get disrespectful! We are nothing like vampires, okay? For once I can actually eat normal food and I do not feed on the living! Oh, and another hunter? Great! Just what this town needed. Allison 2.0. Or are you more of a Kate type of hunter?”
“You BITE, werewolves, vampires, I just need to protect myself. So can Moroi, and I can as well, I’m half vampire MYSELF, I’m not just a hunter, I protect my Moroi, I hunt Strigoi vampires. But I need to protect myself ANYWHERE, and know what creatures lay around here. Look, I don’t know who either of those people are, I hunt, deal with it.”
suchfcn:
❝I haven’t seen any around.❞ Though not seeing them around didn’t mean that they weren’t here at all.
“Look, I ain’t gonna TRUST you about Psi-Hounds.” Rose wasn’t planning on delving deeper into the subjects that had to do with her job as a Dhampir.
seizethedestiny:
“Check one Moroi in the safe hands of the Slayer..——wait, how much alcohol we talking here?”
Oh geez, well she knew this whole Guardian gig was going to be tough but looking after an intoxicated guy on hormones sure wasn’t in the brochure. Then again..she’d dealt with WORSE. Entering the church and sitting down in the pews assigned for the Dhampirs, she let her voice fall to a whisper.
“Oh that is a not so fun Buffy story that I’m sure I’ll tell you, soon.”
Appreciating that the other wasn’t prying.
“I think it’s pretty good that you KNOW how to handle crazy vamps already. A bit, he ends up drunk all the time to calm SPIRIT.” Rose felt sorry for Buffy, she was getting stuck with a Moroi who had an unknown power to many, who was strongly addicted to intoxicating substances. It was a bad hand to be holding, but Rose knew that Buffy COULD do it, if anyone was to be Guardian for Adrian, Rose was glad for it to be Buffy. “I can tell you some not so fun Rose ones for the MIX of bad stories if you wanted.” She just wanted her to be comfortable, and SAFE.
elenaloveablekotsala:
“ That is an entirely new version of hearing about sire bonds, I mean it is great that she managed to save your life and that creating the bond, it is not like others are , where you follow the person’s lead, like he or she tells you to do something and you act upon that, “ Elena pauses, hand is running through her hair, remembering how she had shut her emotions to ease a pain, but the part of doing it was because of a sirebond, thoughts pushed to the corner of her mind, hands crossed over her chest. “ So you are like her protector as well “.
“Well, maybe cause it isn’t exactly a SIRE BOND, it’s more than that. It’s the deepest form of friendship anyone will EVER experience. I don’t follow her, I protect her, I am destined to do that, it’s how it works. I am bound to be her GUARDIAN, it's a mystical thing for Moroi vampires.” Rose didn’t know how to explain it even further, for those who don’t know Dhampir’s and Moroi’s, it was the most difficult thing to explain to someone who knows OTHER kinds of vampires.
