Honestly part of me is happy I can go back and look at these posts and laugh at them. Another part of me wishes to delete them completely.

Like past me you need to chill on your favorite anime characters of the season and also wow we have debunked so much old lore from my own original characters 😅😅😅

However, a lovely part about seeing old posts is how much my art is still something people look forward to regardless of where I was in my art journey. I’ve come to appreciate my old art more and I feel terrible to the way I acted in the past stating it sucked and it wasn’t good enough. I was such a fool and honestly a pretty Negative Nancy in trying to seek affirmation through negative thinking.

While I’m now in a better place mentally and have a better relationship with my art, I genuinely want to apologize for being so negative and dumb in the past. My art has evolved, my love for anime and animation has evolved, and while I’m not as close to some mutuals as I was in the past, I’m thankful that I can still come back to this space and continue creating.

While I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back to posting consistently; I’m happy old posts can come back and remind me of drawings from the past I thought I lost, and wish to redraw to see how much I’ve improved.

Although you get reworked/redrawn every year, you will still get fat in each iteration. I think it’s a neat nod to your past versions. On the bright side, you are still the cutest mochi bean even when angry!

Update 2: return of hourglass figure? Reviewing old art reminded me I used to go hard on hourglass bodies.

Pencil and paper, how I missed you

I think I got to revisit Lily’s face, mostly her eyes, and see if bright, round eyes are still the way to go, or move to more almond shaped eyes.

The round eyes are iconic though. My struggle is her eyelashes.

I personally feel I rant too much on Twitter over silly art things so I’ll rant here but this silly art block is affecting my ability to draw it’s so grrrrrr >:c

I want to draw traditionally too but sadly now I’m in a period of my life where the smallest room of down time is spent resting/sleeping because chronic pain takes it out of ya.

Ngl sometimes I wish I was still in college and had all the time to draw.

But on the brighter side, while looking for inspo through old art, I realized my face proportions have come a long way.

New character redesign: Duchess Estella

Also known as: Luka’s aunt, Queen Nova’s and Countess Luna’s younger sister.

Despite being the youngest out of the triplets, Estella outranks Luna.

Estella is also the only close family member who likes Luka’s company and has nothing to gain in terms of using him for power.

She likes wine and cheeseboards. Not a fan of sweet foods or desserts.

Unlike Nova and Luna, Estella does not possess future vision capabilities, nor is she able to control an element like water or ice. She does possess the ability to grow plants and control them.

It’s been a while since I drew both Luka and men in general. I feel my time away from drawing has rusted my skills a bit, but on the bright side, drawing when I have the time to do it is more enjoyable.
