The Great Morning Walk Debacle of 18 th Nov 2025

Today, I experienced a spiritual journey... from my bed to my front door and back.

The alarm went off at a shockingly ambitious 4:30 AM. I successfully transitioned from a cozy cocoon to a fully geared-up fitness warrior by 5:15 AM, ready to conquer the local park.

I stepped outside, took approximately four and a half steps, and was immediately introduced to the brutal reality of an Upale morning. The weather app cruelly lied, claiming it was a manageable 10 degrees . My body informed me, in no uncertain terms, that it was actually -10 degrees and that I was a complete idiot.

My internal monologue went something like this: "Am I purifying my soul? Or is my soul just freezing solid?" Nature won. It didn't even have to try hard. I executed a tactical retreat, which is military-speak for running back inside as fast as humanly possible.

The only productive thing I did was boil water for the magnificent reward of hot masala tea.

The lesson learned: When you wake up before the sun, the universe is sending you a clear message: "Go back to bed. The squirrels aren't even awake yet."

I have formally apologized to my duvet and promised never to go opposite to the sacred law of "If it's below 10 degrees , stay inside."
