Wow, I can't believe another year went by just like that! So much has and is yet to happen, it's hard to believe I'm still so young and achieving all these things! Do you ever just stop and wonder how different things would be for you if you hadnt taken some risks or lived through some stuff? Of course I don't think anything I've achieved would be possible without all of your help and support and cheering and for that I'm always so so SO thankful and will always be! To think just a few years ago I was still stuck back at home, studying something I didn't enjoy and wondering what my life would be. I made such a crazy, scary decision when I decided to come here and try luck, but I do not regret it one bit! Had I not came here, I would've never been able to meet all the wonderful people I have and make all the friends I did!

Just as always, it's hard for me to think of birthdays as something about me only. My birthday is special not because it's mine, but because I get to share it with people I love and care for. This time around wasn't any different.

My favorite part is always how creative my friends get with the celebrations! It's been three years since I moved here and every time, every birthday is unique. This time around I got to be a princess, and surprisingly enough I even got a prince with me too~. ♡ Who'd have guessed that?

Oh, I'm talking a lot! Aren't I? I'm not going to lie, this time around my birthday did feel extra special and I feel like I could ramble about it forever! Though, I'd rather not bore you all with the details.

Have you ever had an extra special birthday? One that keeps repeating over and over in your head even days after it's happened, one that makes you feel warm and complete? If you haven't, I really hope you get to know what I'm talking about someday.

That's actually nice to hear... I've never really been called neat or dope by anyone before. I was just gonna ask what it's like being a songwriter & singer.

jisung. Well then I am delighted to be the first! To answer briefly: it’s super duper so much fun, I really love it with all my heart! I mean I’ve always loved music and of course my family is just full of songs so I’ve known it before I could even really recognize it, but there’s so much creative energy in songwriting. I don’t produce beats as often but those are always fun too cause you just let you rhythm take off and then bam! Song! And you can write a song about anything you want to so if you’re happy or sad or angry or in love or literally anything else, you can express it with a song. And that’s just the best thing in the whole world for me!

I've only listened to a few songs in general before and music is pretty cool. Its something i maybe want to explore more I guess like finding more music i like. By the way that you talk I can tell you like it quite a lot. Its amazing that you grew up around music and youre able to create it yourself. How long does it usually take you to make or write songs and what's you're favorite kind to make?

jisung. There's a whole world out there to explore! There's some really obscure sort of genres too but they're definitely out there. I think it's always been tied to our family, music I mean. I still remember my mom telling me how our ancestors were songwriters because they liked to tell stories, and I think that's something I definitely love about music too. Everything's a story, even if it's just a beat. I bet you could do it too, if you wanted! Hmmm, I don't really have a timeline for making or writing. If inspiration hits, I can crank one out in even 15 minutes! But if it's something I'm struggling with, it can take me up to two weeks which sucks. My favorite is definitely more hip hop style music, and rapping remains one of my first loves. And it's cheesy but I love ballads too, sort of softer in a way but still damn powerful! What's your favorite kind of music so far?

With the way you describe it I bet theres more genres in music than I can even count. Still think it's so cool that music in your family just goes way back kinda like it's just engraved in your family now in a good way. 15 minutes is pretty impressive actually and 2 weeks is impressive too. I dont know if I could ever do music myself though. Ive never really been interested in anything before or had "hobbies" so what if I try to make music myself and dont even know what im doing or even like it. I would say one of my favorites is also hip hop. I really like the sound of it. I also have heard a few pop songs because of the radio in the house but other than that that's about it. jisung. There’s so so many! Plus new ones coming out all the time and all these hybrid ones, isn’t it great?! Oops, sorry started yelling there for a second, mom always tells me I need to tone it down before I blow someone’s eardrums out ehe. It’s been in our blood since the beginning, really, since my great times like twenty grandma was a siren. Music is how she communicated with my great times twenty grandpa, cause she couldn’t speak anymore right? So we’ve always kind of kept that going, I guess maybe I just like it more than anyone else right now! I think that’s part of the fun honestly, not knowing, because that way you can explore anything. And even if it’s not good to you, someone out there will like it! How will you ever know if you don’t try? And besides, maybe it’ll teach you something you can carry on to other things, and that’s an experience worth having I think. Hip hop’s a great place to start, and jazz cause there’s a lotta improve in jazz. Ballads are really ummm, heartfelt? They’re songs that are a little slower with calmer beats but their melodies are super strong and the lyrics are usually really powerful. And gosh, the singers? I mean, mind blowingly talented! I think ballads are songs you feel in your heart.

jisung. Yeah!!! That’s really what’s so amazing about music and sound, there’s truly something out there for everyone. Most costal towns and cities know about sirens, but if you go inland then they’re more likely to know about things like dryads and nymphs. I wish I could’ve met my siren ancestor, I would’ve loved to hear al the stories. It’s okay in a way though because I still get to hear a lot of them that were passed down, and someday I’ll pass those to my kids! One of my favorite songs recently is This side of paradise by Coyote Theory. It’s fun to sing along to! And double take by dhruv. Oh! And sunflower by Rex Orange County. I’ve gotten really into these kinds of folksy sort of indie pop songs lately. I don’t know if there’s anything specific you should feel. Maybe you’ll feel happier and lighter after listening! Or maybe you’ll feel a little sad or nostalgic? It’s hard to explain the vibes, since they’re so individual. Plus it depends on if you listen for lyrics or for the song’s ambiance! Some songs sound super cheerful but then the lyrics are really sad

Maybe one day you'll get the chance to even meet a siren outside of your family and then you can ask them any questions you have personally. I don't know much about creatures like that at all. Maybe one day they will interest me enough to get very curious like you and seek out stories. So it all depends on the song how you feel about it? What if I don't quite feel anything? Cause I've never really felt anything while listening to music but I continue to do it whenever I can so I'm sure that means I like it.

🌙: Hello everyone, it's been a while. Being the moon goddess surely keeps one busy.. I wanted to give a small update on how I've been doing these past weeks, but also, how have you been?

Not much has happened, besides "royal duties" and occasionally slipping away from home to come here and explore some more. I've grown quite fond of being here. Only now do I see how different my perspectives were from before. Every day is a new adventure and something new to learn, new people to meet, to grow and enjoy life with the ups and downs it has. Isn't life all about that?

I even think I finally figured gardening out, well to be honest I think I'm going the right steps. I planted a few roses, and tulips, and even a small cherry tree which I hope by next year everyone can enjoy them.

Maybe it doesn't sound like much, but I learned a lot while trying to have them grow. How in the right spot, with the right flowers beside them, they've been growing beautifully with equally needing the rain and the sun to grow, while some others after placing them on the wrong spots, with the wrong flowers nearby which most times either those didn't let the sun come through them or the rain, almost faded away, but luckily I've been keeping track of them and in time moved them to a better spot where they are flourishing. It's as they say, for a flower to grow you don't need to change the flower, but the environment it grows.

How true that is for us too, right?

As I've been learning each day how to grow these flowers, I've also been reminded how strongly connected we are with nature itself. How the simplest thing as planting a baby rose, can teach you so much more than just how to grow it and that's the beauty of life. That's the beauty of the connections we have with each other, with nature.. with life itself. So please, be like my baby roses, grow, bloom and make this garden of life a more beautiful place, because it wouldn't be without you in it. ♡

📝 • Dear diary, It's been months since I've been back at the inn. The doors are spelled closed and the cobwebs and dust have become part of the decoration because I haven't been around to maintain it. The animals that used to freely come and go have probably moved on, and everyone I know and love has done the same too.

Have I really been gone that long?

The right person at the wrong time. That's what it is and I'm scared to start again but I have to. I'm back and I'm here and I have to pick myself up and smile through it all. Take each day as it comes, clean the inn and my house and bring life back to the forest because it's so quiet. The foxes and wolves are no longer around, the bears and bunnies have gone somewhere else and even the plants have wilted without the magic that I bring here.

I went away recently, I escaped in all honesty because life happened in ways I didn’t expect it to so I had to find myself again. It took a while but I’m okay enough to return home. Onew brought us all out to the beach today for the first time. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back, hopefully with my boyfriend next time. Me and Chaewon were the ones doing most of the swimming in the ocean while the boys all just mostly stayed on the beach and ate up all the food we had packed.

A little lengthy

“There’s hunters in the area.” Hyunjin huffs out. The male had been out most of the day searching for more herbs for the wolves ruts. Mingyu and Johnny both look up rather quickly from their phones, standing and ushering the winded witch into the living room. “What do you mean? How do you know?” Mingyu asks as Johnny leaves the room to gather the others. Hyunjin rolls up his sleeve to reveal a deep cut caused by what seemed to be an arrow. Mingyu pushes himself up and grabs a rag to clean the wound. “We have to get going.” He mumbles as the others enter the room.

Eunwoo had already started to pack before Hyunjin starts to shake his head. “They are in the city. We have time.” He explains. Johnny clenches his jaw as he looks to Mingyu. “I’ll go warn your pack.” The second alpha nods as he heads toward the door. “And I will warn Yanan.” Sangyeon speaks, moving closely behind Johnny. Mingyu nods, swallowing a lump in his throat. “Be careful. Both of you.”

Sangyeon waited until he was outside to unleash his dark wings, giving one last nod to Johnny before shooting himself off the ground and toward the elven village that Yanan had led them to many times before. Hunters didn’t usually go after elves since they were too human, but there was always a possibility and Yanan had always been good to the pack. As the Angel landed, he was greeted by a few civilians that directed him toward their prince. Yanan did not look surprised to see the fallen Angel, almost like he was expecting this meeting. “Hunters, yes? They paid us a visit already. They had nothing to say to us. Since we were not a ‘danger’ to others. Your wolves are in trouble though. They should stay put. They have patrols everywhere.” The prince answers, his hands on his hips. Sangyeon furrows his brows before a sudden pain racks through his body, visions filling his head. If Yanan hadn’t have been close enough to catch him, sangyeon would be face down on the ground. “Johnny-“

The secondary alpha had gone as quickly as he could in the direction of Mingyu’s pack, worried about their safety. As he got closer, he began to get more and more worried. The smell of smoke filled his nostrils and he found himself running through the woods, tearing through the forest. Mingyu’s home pack had become a family to the outcasts, if something happened to them then the hunters would face hell.

The fire set through the small pack area was still blazing when Johnny arrived, the smoke blocking his senses as he ran around to look for survivors. He passed many bodies of the pack he was familiar with, Mingyu’s family, dead and left on the ground in both shifted and unshifted forms. A whimper caught Johnny’s attention, his head shooting in the direction and spotting a very injured omega holding his hands up for a hunter that was holding a crossbow to his head. Johnny’s eyes widened and he shoved himself between the omega and the hunter as the arrow was released. Ignoring the blooming pain in his abdomen, Johnny lunged at the hunter, tackling him to the ground and holding him there. “Run.” He spits out to the omega. He knew that the younger wolf could find Mingyu, he had no worries of that, but he did want answers from this hunter.

The hunter looked almost scared as he kicked Johnny from on top of him, skidding away and toward the crossbow to reload it with shaky hands as Johnny gathered his strength to stand. The hunter took aim again, shooting another bolt that flew lash Johnny’s head and giving the wolf an opportunity to recover. Instead of loading another bolt, the hunter slung the crossbow across his back and started to take off in the opposite direction of the omega, his blonde hair making him easy for Johnny to follow even despite the growing pain in his stomach.

By the time the omega made it to Mingyu and the alpha made it to the scene, both Johnny and the hunter were laying on the ground with significant injuries. “Take him.” Mingyu motions to the hunter for Sangyeon to pick up. “I’m going to have questions for him when he wakes up.” He finishes. Sangyeon picks up the male, tossing him onto his back as Mingyu carefully picks up Johnny. The hunter didn’t look like the one that was described. His pink hair a stark difference from the blonde that the omega described, but they would work it out later. Their main priority was healing Johnny and having a proper burial for Mingyu’s pack. They would worry about the other hunter later.

The hunter woke rather quickly, Mingyu having just attached the restraints to his hands when he jolted awake, causing him to cry out in pain and hold onto his stomach where a large gash was bleeding steadily. “Tell me what I want to know and you can live.” Mingyu states darkly, Yangyang standing at his side. “Welcome back Jeno.”

jisung. Well then I am delighted to be the first! To answer briefly: it’s super duper so much fun, I really love it with all my heart! I mean I’ve always loved music and of course my family is just full of songs so I’ve known it before I could even really recognize it, but there’s so much creative energy in songwriting. I don’t produce beats as often but those are always fun too cause you just let you rhythm take off and then bam! Song! And you can write a song about anything you want to so if you’re happy or sad or angry or in love or literally anything else, you can express it with a song. And that’s just the best thing in the whole world for me!

I've only listened to a few songs in general before and music is pretty cool. Its something i maybe want to explore more I guess like finding more music i like. By the way that you talk I can tell you like it quite a lot. Its amazing that you grew up around music and youre able to create it yourself. How long does it usually take you to make or write songs and what's you're favorite kind to make?

jisung. There's a whole world out there to explore! There's some really obscure sort of genres too but they're definitely out there. I think it's always been tied to our family, music I mean. I still remember my mom telling me how our ancestors were songwriters because they liked to tell stories, and I think that's something I definitely love about music too. Everything's a story, even if it's just a beat. I bet you could do it too, if you wanted! Hmmm, I don't really have a timeline for making or writing. If inspiration hits, I can crank one out in even 15 minutes! But if it's something I'm struggling with, it can take me up to two weeks which sucks. My favorite is definitely more hip hop style music, and rapping remains one of my first loves. And it's cheesy but I love ballads too, sort of softer in a way but still damn powerful! What's your favorite kind of music so far?

With the way you describe it I bet theres more genres in music than I can even count. Still think it's so cool that music in your family just goes way back kinda like it's just engraved in your family now in a good way. 15 minutes is pretty impressive actually and 2 weeks is impressive too. I dont know if I could ever do music myself though. Ive never really been interested in anything before or had "hobbies" so what if I try to make music myself and dont even know what im doing or even like it. I would say one of my favorites is also hip hop. I really like the sound of it. I also have heard a few pop songs because of the radio in the house but other than that that's about it. jisung. There’s so so many! Plus new ones coming out all the time and all these hybrid ones, isn’t it great?! Oops, sorry started yelling there for a second, mom always tells me I need to tone it down before I blow someone’s eardrums out ehe. It’s been in our blood since the beginning, really, since my great times like twenty grandma was a siren. Music is how she communicated with my great times twenty grandpa, cause she couldn’t speak anymore right? So we’ve always kind of kept that going, I guess maybe I just like it more than anyone else right now! I think that’s part of the fun honestly, not knowing, because that way you can explore anything. And even if it’s not good to you, someone out there will like it! How will you ever know if you don’t try? And besides, maybe it’ll teach you something you can carry on to other things, and that’s an experience worth having I think. Hip hop’s a great place to start, and jazz cause there’s a lotta improve in jazz. Ballads are really ummm, heartfelt? They’re songs that are a little slower with calmer beats but their melodies are super strong and the lyrics are usually really powerful. And gosh, the singers? I mean, mind blowingly talented! I think ballads are songs you feel in your heart.
