A kiss. A kiss to the lips made his eyes open up, his blue hues capturing yours. He closed them once more, beginning to get himself comfortable. “What do you want?” He questioned, although, you knew he didn’t say it because he was being imprudent, or rude, rather he only questioned it in his manner of getting to the point. Resting your chin upon his shoulder, your eyes surveyed his face in silence, before your lips curled up into a gentle smile. “I want to make you blush.” You told him happily. There was a brief chuckle that came from him, humored by your silly little desire.
“Good luck.” He told you with ease, before he turned his head, to capture your eyes, only to then return his head to the same position it was; with his nose pointed upward, and his eyes tucked away beneath pale lids, hidden from the world.
Propping your elbows up on the couch, you ran your fingers along his chest, although you had no response from him. Sliding your fingers across his body, you gently got on him, straddling him from where he was on the bed that you both came to share. Your lips attracted his, softly pressing yours to his, and moved them against his in a loving attempt that made no blush stain his cheeks. You gave a soft pout before you began to create other attempts, but like all others, his cheeks were as pale as that of a corpse.
“Hah.” You breathed as you got right off of him, feeling as though you failed your task. Laying beside him with one leg around him, you stared at his chest, surveying the cloth as you began to stroke it. There was the faint sound of music, resonating ever so subtly from the studs that connected themselves to his ears. His eyes were closed, and even from where you laid; with your head just above your shoulder, you surveyed the way that he rested. His face was passive, peaceful, and you almost wished you could match him as he was now. But you had a task at hand that was practically begging for you to finish it. Pursing your lips briefly, you then smiled softly.
“You know what I dream of?” You asked the blond, whom remained silent in response to you. Your cheek gently pressed itself to the fabric of his clothing with your eyes closing themselves as well. “I dream of marrying you, Shuu.” You whispered to him, speaking your thoughts with your eyes closed genuinely. “I dream of having a home with you, to ourselves, and maybe children. Just you, and me, and maybe some kids if you want them…of course not now, but maybe in the future….” You began, trailing away, before you finally felt a smile gracing it’s way along your lips as you thought about the future that could not be reminisced. “But, you know why I dream of these things, Shuu?” You questioned him, as you opened your eyes, gazing to the fabric of his clothing.
“Because I love you. And you’re the only person I want to…I want to do these things with.” You came to admit in the softest murmur, slowly rising your glance upward towards his face, only to see what you had been longing to see all this time. Shuu’s cheeks were the color of the roses outside in the garden, the ones in which Subaru was always among. Your eyes instantly lit up like an independence day celebration as you saw his eyes open, and glance to you with an annoyed expression. He let out a prolonged breath before he a tad abruptly so that he laid on his side, holding you to his body with absolute ease. His lips pressed themselves to yours, as he tried to silence you, and these sweet words that caused his cheeks to tinge, and scorch like they were made of blood and fire.
When he finally managed to pull his lips back, his eyes stared into yours, his blue hues that you admired so much no longer tucked behind pale lids, pillowed at the cheeks with thick, black lashes.
“Don’t say more, you’ll be bothersome. Just go to…sleep.” He pushed you closely to his chest, as if in any moment you would be stolen; for that his grip was steadfast on your body, holding you closely as his eyes gazed forward. It was evident that he was rather bashful about the situation, though he wouldn’t admit that, and the only reason why he wanted you to be asleep was because he didn’t want you to speak anymore words.
Otherwise his cheeks would ignite within a shade deeper than the shade of blood itself.
“But Shuu, I mean it, I really, really love you.” You whispered out in innocent response, watching his cheeks burn several shades deeper than it was.
A sigh escaped his lips, as he held you tightly to his chest. “Don’t…. Just be quiet, otherwise you’ll be the one blushing.”
