my weekend was so busy and i laid down bc my body was hurting me and almost immediately fell asleep

my mom is in the ER several states away and you know who’s NOT checking on her?? that’s right my stupid sister who lives 30 minutes away

my mom is okay and went home last night. she’s been ignoring some gallbladder stones she found way back in january/february and developed acute pancreatitis+pancreatic encephalopathy from them. she should be getting surgery soon. my sister still pisses me off but that won’t ever change. be excellent to each other.

service employees national union is holding an informational picket at my hospital tomorrow

the technical employee group at my hospital are all SEIU union repped now (CNAs, environmental services, ultrasound techs, receptionists, etc) and the big nurse's union here is SEIU's sister organization and i KNOW the nurses are very satisfied with their union representation. i chatted with one of the union reps for a while and got his number. i feel like a secret agent.

#the clinic i work in is pretty small and removed from the larger hospital system #so we have a lot more flexibility/leniency than some of the bigger clinics #my coworkers big concerns were that our day to day would be impacted by union rep #but the guy i spoke to was like nope your day to day won't change #rubbing my grubby little hands together #also there were so many cars driving by that were honking in support of the picketers #and what appeared to be a couple random kids from the school next door who ditched camp to come carry signs with them lol i love it here #┆❛ HEY GHOULS THE BOYS ARE HERE. / ooc.
