good morning! yui’s deepest wound upon entering the sakamaki house had nothing to do with the fact that she was surrounded by vampires, but instead the realization that all the love she had been surrounded with her whole life was fake, not a single person had truly loved her; her own father had cast her into a den of monsters and cut off contact with her. her profound loneliness and her heartbreak must have surpassed the amount of fear she was feeling
but this is precisely the reason why she resonated so deeply with the diaboys and why they all came to love each other. they were all lacking in love. they had all been permanently hurt by a person who was SUPPOSED to care about them, many of them had been abandoned by somebody just as yui had. they had all been living lovelessly, or with a twisted perception of love. and after yui came and touched every one of their lives, not only were they able to love HER but also each other, also their own families and friends. every diaboy + yui went from having zero people who truly loved them to having 13+ people they could call brothers, friends, allies. people they love. and everything is good now
