asking for a friend: would anyone want a connection with elizabeth debicki, doutzen kroes, or gemma chan??
travlear·:
he pours them both a drink, carrying it to her on the couch, offering the glass to her, clinking them together with a chuckle. âi must admit, begrudgling, i have been lonely lately.â he sighs, with certain dramatics as he settles himself on the arm of the couch.
âOh?â Elise took a sip of her drink, quirking an eyebrow at him. âWell, perhaps I can be of assistance,â she smiled, almost slyly.
âShine On, You Crazy Diamondâ Lara chirped at her friend and caught the lighter with one hand, flashing her a brilliant smile. âIt was stuffy down there, I couldnât breathe.â Same old people, same old faces, Lara thought to herself, stroking down her evening gown. âBesides, they ran out of chocolate covered strawberries so I couldnât possibly stay in there any longer.â Lara added in a dramatic voice. She sensed the gloomy mode her friend had slipped into and for the next few moments she remained silent, inhaling the fresh air. And then⊠âA whim away, a whim away, a whim awayâŠâ she hummed softly the melody of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
âThis bar is getting a little bit passĂ©,â OphĂ©lie remarked. âOr it will be soon enough.â She gave Lara a crooked smile, but began to laugh in earnest when she started to sing. âIâd join you, but I donât want to subject you to my singing voice.â
blcndcs·:
âI absolutely do,â Pru replied breezily, smiling around her own âcigaretteâ as she passed over the lighter. âHow weird that itâs already September,â she mused, leaning on her elbows as she gazed out over the city. âSummer used to feel years long. Now I blink and I miss it.â Her smile was wistful as she took a hit, inhaling the thick smoke deep into her lungs. âOh,â she sputtered, coughing a bit as she waved her hand through the cloud she exhaled, âyou donât mind, do you?âÂ
âThanks,â OphĂ©lie smiled as she took the lighter. âIsnât it?â She agreed, wistfully. âAnd soon itâll be winter and weâll all be freezing.â She was a summer girl, felt most herself when it was warm and sunny and sultry. âI donât,â she replied, shaking her hand. âOh, Iâve forgotten to introduce myself â Iâm OphĂ©lie.â
Magnus Osei. One mention of the man and youâd see Charlotteâs lips curve into a smile. While they had been divorced for five years, they did have two children together, and the blonde knew sheâd always have a soft spot for him. Even after their romance had ended, there was still a deep love there, and with the sneaking around theyâd been doing recently, unbeknownst to their family, she found it all a little exciting in a way.
It had been a long day, and luckily for Charlotte, one of her meetings cancelled so she was able to leave a little earlier than usual to meet with Magnus for a drink. She didnât know why sheâd been seeing him without their children knowing, but on the other hand, she also didnât want to get the kidsâ hopes up either. For now, itâd just be between the two of them.
Arriving at their usual bar, one theyâd frequented while still together, Charlotte strut in ( always one to make an entrance ) and quickly spotted her ex husband in the corner nook. She then approached the table, sitting down and signalling to the bartender to bring her the usual before turning to him, a smile on her face. âWell, hello there. Sorry that Iâm a few minutes late. Trafficâs a mess. Howâve you been?â // @diamantiine
It was odd, Magnus knew, to have be have regular, secret rendezvous with his ex-wife. As though they were having an affair, except the ones they didnât want to find out were their own children. But when they were together, it didnât feel odd in the least. The divorce had been perfectly amicable, and everything that lingered between them was positive.
He noticed her the moment she stepped into the room â she liked to make an entrance, Charlotte, and she was certainly a difficult woman to miss. When she approached, he smiled in way of greeting. âI just got here myself,â he replied as she sat down. âOh, not bad. Iâm getting ready for TIFF next week â the new film premieres on opening night. Itâs going to be a busy couple of months with the festival circuit and release.â More than a couple of months, if it became an awards contender as was all but inevitable. âHow are you?â
Just a heads up: Iâve changed Eliseâs fc from Rachel Weisz to Jennifer Connelly!
gianna-scaramucci·:
needing a breath of fresh air, gianna made her way outside to the rooftop for a smoke. she wasnât huge on cigarettes, but sheâd been cutting back her dosage on xanax lately, and was trying to find other ways to cope. âhere,â she offered, lighting her own cigarette before offering the lighter to the other woman. âkeep it. iâm not much of a smoker,â she half grinned.
âOh, well, thank you,â OphĂ©lie said with a smile, lighting up and taking a long drag of her cigarette before looking back at the woman. âTrying to quit?â She guessed. âOr just donât like them much?â She extended a hand in greeting. âIâm OphĂ©lie, by the way.â
travlear·:
asherâs dark eyes trailed out across the cityscape before them, âit is a nice view. looks like a post card or something. that sort of iconic view.â he laughed. he smiles, easily, ânot my favorite city, but it is pretty.â
âIt almost feels dreamlike, after a while,â OphĂ©lie remarked, taking in the seemingly endless rows of lights which filled her vision. âWhat is your favorite city?â She asked, curiously.
larisms·:
Lara first waited to see who it was that joined her on the rooftop before she announced her presence. At the sight of Ophelie, the corners of her lips lifted into a smirk, though. âHere you go, O.â The blonde tossed her her Pink Floyd lighter before she looked down. She was sitting in the shadows, on the edge of the roof with her feet dangling over the side. âWhat brings you here this fine evening?â
OphĂ©lie smiled at the sight of her friend, lighting her cigarette before tossing the lighter back to Lara. She shrugged, sitting down next to the blonde and stretching out. âJust a whim.â She felt aimless tonight, though less achingly hollow than she sometimes did. âWhat about you?â
travlear·:
gabriel studied her dress â beautiful, elegant. heâd expect no less of her. he nods, stepping inside, âa drink sounds lovely.â he remarked, his own smirk curling his lips. âhow was your event?â he asks her, moving to where he knew she kept the alcohol. âi trust you were the prettiest woman in the room, as usual.â the casual compliment slips easily. whether or not it is meant is a gray area. gabriel was a sliver tongued snake on the best of days.
âSuccessful,â Elisabeth replied, draping herself across the couch. Events like that were practically second nature to her, she knew how to work a room. âAnd youâre surely the most charming man in this one.â
calebschmvdt·:
âNo, Iâm afraid not. I havenât had a cigarette in years.â He let out and glanced over at the brunette and cleared his throat. âItâs a terrible habit that I had to stop, really.â
âFair enough,â OphĂ©lie replied, good-naturedly. âI probably ought to quite at some point, but,â she shrugged. She didnât want to.
can you explain a bit about elise's company and charitable foundation?
Of course! And feel free to message me if you need any clarification!
So the Gold Group is a huge multinational media conglomerate ( one of the worldâs biggest ). So theyâre involved in telecommunications, movie/tv production, broadcast/cable/news/streaming, music, publishing, possibly some other things as well. A real behemoth.
As for the foundation, Iâd say itâs as recognizable as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Itâs one of the biggest private foundations in the world, and does a lot of work both domestically and internationally.

Mornings were never Calebâs thing. Heâd get up around noon most of the time, but resulting in new jobs meant he had to be up and running before nine in the morning. He took that opportunity to walk his own dog around the block and to get coffee. He sat down on one of the benches as his dog sat down next to him. He didnât really notice the people walking by, but someone started speaking and he looked up to see a woman standing there with two of her dogs. He looked up and chuckled. âIt is. Itâs nice to have some sunny skies. That until a month or two months from now itâll be snowing. People actually run this early in the morning?â
âI do like this time of year, after weâve passed the midsummer hit and before it gets cold,â Elise agreed, with a nod. âNot too many,â she admitted. âBut this isnât even especially early by my standards, and these two,â she nodded down to her dogs. âHave come to expect their early morning walks by now.â
travlear·:
âhate stocks.â asher admits, making a face. honestly, he hated most things to have to do with money in general. chock it up to âbad associationsâ growing up jewish. people always assumed his family was in banking or something. and it was, to say the least, rude. âwhatâre you doing up here â besides smoking, i mean?â
âYeah? So do I. Theyâre the most boring thing in the world,â she laughed, taking another drag. Sheâd never had a mind for that kind of thing. Any dreams her father may have fostered of her one day succeeding him had been hopefully dashed when she was a child. âNothing in particular. Enjoying the view,â she gestured at the city lights.
Elise had just returned home from a party, and she was still clad in a gown and diamonds when Gabriel arrived for their...meeting. âAh, Gabriel.â Elise greeted him with a smile. âIâm afraid Iâm a bit overdressed,â she remarked, the hint of a smirk on her lips. âWould you like a drink?â
