Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. Yellow does has more positive connotations than negative. Yellow is associated more with happiness, creativity and hope than pissing on the poor.

How can you tell he's EV at this stage? Or is this one of the Most Definitely EV Eggs?

She's EV because of genetics! EV looks different in phenotype from a blue, it's a lighter, reddish brown compared to a dark brown. I also know she is a hen because of genetics!

To be EV, a bird's Z chromosomes must all have the EV gene. In males this means being homozygous, in hens this means being hemizygous.

Earl's genotype for the sex chromosomes would read Z(ev)/Z and Wendy's would read Z/W

The only result that is homo or hemizygous is the bottom left, ZW means a hen, so the only birds that can be EV out of this pairing must be hens. And there's no other hets that I'm aware of, so any non-blue chick must be EV.
