This is a summary of the beginning of the OutCast AU created by ZeroGravity (@im-trash-baby) and AveragePufferfish.
Error is a Sans with an unknown origin, he's known to be an AU that deprived from the classic Undertale AU, but it remains unknown. He is known to almost joined Nightmare's gang, declining and wanting to be free, but agreeing to help him with no contract. After fighting within the X-Event and seeing all the destruction and how AU's that were perfectly happy before, were left to ROT, he decided to do something... The OutCasts were formed.

Cross was the 'blame' for the X-Event. After separated from Chara, he sought to do good again. He teamed with Dream, which quickly drained him and made him emotionless to try not to weaken Dream. He left once more to join Nightmare's gang. After a fight with Night and Cross, he left again. Error reached out to him and took him into his void after their mutual hatred for Ink. 2nd Member.
Cobalt is UnderSwap!Sans, given that nickname from Error, as he was "Tough as Steel". After the only one in his universe remembering the X-Event, and finding out was really going on with Papyrus being the judge, he sought to help as well. He first joined the Star Sanses Pre-War, and left after being tossed around only to help people, one after another. He was never given time for himself anymore. He went to Nightmare, his enemy, and joined his group. After finding out Nightmare's gang had a reason, he left in confusion. He settled back into his Universe to go back to normal... Still having all his memories. That's when Error arrived to help him... 3rd Member.

Astro, or Outer, is the only one within the group truely not involved with X-Event. Killer killed him quickly, causing him not be involved. Before all the AU's were destroyed, OuterTale reset, causing him to suddenly remember how he met Sans and Killer. Then, he escaped with the memories he had left with Core!Frisk's sudden help. He teamed with the Star Sanses but left quickly, realizing their only motive was to stop Nightmare's gang. That's when the Star's fell apart. Astro became angry then... Cobalt contacted him, Error letting him join. He was then the 4th member.
