diana was a huge fan of michael’s music, it was reported that she listened to the albums ‘thriller’ and ‘bad’ repeatedly.

when they met backstage before the show, diana asked him whether or not he was going to perform ‘dirty diana’. when she found out that he decided to remove the song from the setlist out of respect for her, michael recalls her saying; “no i want you to do it, do the song!”.
