Live to drunk another day.

It is true that one will assess their life and all decisions made within when suffering from a hangover. I can say this because I’ve had plenty hangovers... none quite as legendary as today.

Here’s the inevitable:

It’s always a bright and sunny day after you decide to get shit faced. Neighbours are always moving or doing some kind of construction. Friends tend to call you and want to have lengthy conversations. If your battery made it through the evening you might have texted someone. Chances are you made a fool of yourself. And if you’re extremely unfortunate… someone took pictures.

As I lay in disapproval of self, piecing together parts of the evening passed, it dawns on me that perhaps José Gold is not my friend.

I am not silly enough to promise myself that I will never drink again because who am I fooling with such fuckery. But maybe next time I go to war with José I will be better prepared.

He lied

So, he lied. He pursued you Courted you Complimented you He took the time to figure out what made you happy and how to do so. He allowed you to feel for him And made no effort to stop your fall. Suddenly You find out he is attached to another while you've become emotionally attached to him. #doyoukickhiminthenuts Ideally yes. But no... everything you do after discovery effects on your sanity. Cut ties. Refuse to see him. Don't give out an opportunity to let him speak to you because he knows HOW to speak to you. A big cut once is better than little cuts daily.

Piece-of-mine.

There is a sense of urgency that some may feel when alone. Wanting to not be alone any longer, or find ways to compensate for feeling alone. It is at this very time when we should allow ourselves to have that peace.

Have you ever wondered if; had you not been alone; would you have had that conversation or initiated that text? Or even entertained the idea of it?

That piece of you should sometimes be yours alone to find your peace.
