A un certo punto
devi capire
che il dolore che hai subito
non lo devi subire
all’infinito.
Franco Arminio.
“But then it passed, as all things do.”

““Can I see you again” is such a sweet thing to say.”

i need one of those long silent hugs.
you can never really entirely forget someone. You can only feign it.
because when you listen that song, it’ll remind you of how you used to jam on it together.
when you pass by that place, you will remember how it used to be your favourite place to play.
when you look at those pictures, you’ll remember nothing except from- their warmth, their friendliness.
but you still let those memories fade away, because when the sun will set, all their bad will overshadow their good. And then you’ll wonder.. what were we again?
Perhaps this is the way of life. Enjoy while you can, because one day, who knows we might be strangers again :)
lost connection
do you ever think about the people you lost from your life?
do you ever just sit back and think about them?
the friends who meant so much.
the jokes you laughed about.
the shared plans for the future together.
how it all faded away?
the presence of another person.
the love and the memories shared between the consciousness of two separate beings.
torn apart by distance.
its so sad to think,
that this person who once owned a space full of so much love in your heart,
is now someone who you never talk to.
a bitter end to a friendship that was so dear.
a rush of a memory that once made you laugh.
now brings a sad smile and tears to your eyes.
remembering the moments you were together.
remembering the smiles.
the laughter.
the happiness.
the joy.
and then
then you remember.
and it all hits you so clearly.
the anger.
the pain.
the tears.
the sadness.
the silence.
the deafening silence.
on the bridge that was filled with friendship.
now stands empty.
empty and alone.
where was once a place of vibrant colours, and echoes of ecstasy
is now a place of death.
a graveyard.
the grey has taken over.
the colours now faded beyond recognition
fully disintegrated.
do you sit there and wonder?
how did this happen?
do you stare at the ruins of a connection once so bold.
and think;
do you ever think about the people you lost from your life?
"nothing but admired"
Drifting away...
Have you ever just feel like your drifting away? Becoming nothing inside. Waiting for your time to pass by. Nothing in this world can describe that feeling of wanting to disappear and just seize to exist. Nothing in this world can ever fill that void.
Each day you tell yourself, it will get better. But still, deep down you know you’re just lying to yourself. Giving yourself some kind of hope, some kind of light on this dark night. Something to push yourself forward.
“It’s just something stupid. It’s just how my brain is wired right now. None of this will hurt me. None of these feelings are permanent. I will get over it.”
Just how many times have I told myself these lies? How many more times will I tell myself these lies? I can’t help but wonder will there ever be a day where I’m finally free. Free to just exist for me and me alone. It feels like some far away dream that I can never achieve.
“Che era morta. Le dissero che era morta… Che nell'alba l'avevano vista galleggiare. Come un cigno.”
— Isabella Santacroce, “Lovers”.
