I didn’t anticipate you. Meeting you a year ago threw my universe off balance, and left me desperately seeking some sort of resolution. I wrote an album with you in mind, never knowing if I would see you again. 

But then there you were, akin to the rays of the rising sun. I’m so thankful I met you. I’m so thankful my existence has the opportunity to intersect with yours. I’m so thankful that i get to be in a reality where you are too.

Everything about you is incredible. Everything about you deserves to be shared with the world. You are everything sweet and lovely in the universe. You’ve helped me grow as a person. I could exist without you, but every day we choose to exist together and to me that is beautiful.

i can only help someone be aware of the decisions they’re making. i can only help someone be aware of what they’re feeling. after they’re aware, whatever choice they make is their prerogative. for example, if someone has a drinking problem but they don’t realize they do, they’re not making conscious decisions for themselves. they’re being controlled by something they’re not aware of. however, once it’s been pointed out to them, and they’ve been made aware that they have a tendency for addiction, if they continue to drink that’s a conscious decision that they’re making. to love someone knowing their flaws is to be there for them after the fact without expending yourself to the point of harm.

crazy how any person i’ve ever given a part of my heart to will always have their piece

i described you as sunshine manifested into a human being. you fill my veins with sunshine and unwavering warmth. your warmth is a welcome change to the hurricane-like turmoil i’ve been faced with lately. i have a lot of growing to do and a lot of internal changes i have to make. but when you’re around i’m constantly reminded that being the best most authentic version of myself is worth it.

if someone is always the victim in every situation, perhaps it would be worthy to reevaluate that person as opposed to blindly accepting that they are consistently being slighted by the people around them

I am still the same man I have always been. I still have my jokes, and my ability to see. I have my affinity for literature and tendency to ramble about unimportant things. I’m still me and that can’t be taken away from me. It’s not on me if someone’s perception of me is unjustly skewed because they choose to believe a different narrative. Reckon they never knew me at all, then. I hope people develop the ability to think critically without bias.

I have the tendency to stress myself out a lot. I sit in my own head and replay interactions again, and again, and again. Always being hypercritical of everything, searching for something, but for what? Proof that I’m loathed? I don’t know why I lack the capacity to accept things as they are and at face value. I’m suspicious of intent every time I have a conversation. Perhaps because we haven’t laid everything down and been completely honest with how we feel.

I don’t know if I’m able to have a superficial friendship with Joe. Too many times he almost picked me apart and unravelled me to expose the innermost part of my soul. I can’t talk about the weather with someone like that, but I’m also afraid to address everything that happened and how we feel post apocalypse. I’m afraid there may be no going back, and so I’d rather float in this painfully uncomfortable limbo.

do you know what’s dumb? fretting because chris didn’t use his tag for me. fretting because i feel like my friendships with certain friends wont ever go back to the way they were. why would i want that? i can make new friends and i can keep moving forward, i don’t have to fret and worry myself away

my knuckles brushing softly against your skin, the whisper of kisses after long and gruelling days, looking into your eyes and feeling the claw around my heart loosen its grip, knowing undoubtedly that with you by my side my potential is unmatched.

timothée taught me how to see colour again and i will eternally be grateful, but you? you’re every colour to exist, and colours incomprehensible to the human eye. the softness and tenderness i have for you is all encompassing, it consumes every atom in my body. every fiber of me adores every fiber of yours. overwhelmingly in reciprocal love.

I love in mad absolutes, romantically and platonically, and that’s why I usually end up with my heart under a bus. Hasn’t stopped me yet, though
