Temporary Hiatus

.Greetings to you all. Mod here.

During most of this year, after retaking this comic/project I started a while ago, I wanted to keep it going. It was going to be my main outcome of artistic inspiration, and something that got me back into writing, to some extent.

I’ve tried my best to update daily, regardless of everything that my life had to throw at me. Twelve hour shifts? I can power through it, the comic must go on. Depression hitting like a truck full of smaller trucks? The comic must go on. No reason was  big enough for me to not shrug it off and keep working on it.

Unfortunately, I’ve run out of strength to keep doing it for the time being.

I have another project in mind I’ve been working on that will show up on Tumblr as well in due time once I work on it a bit more and have everything ready. People seem to have liked Eire Mhor as a character, and the idea of having a blog focusing more on the fairy lore has come to mind, and I’ve been developing it on my own. It won’t be as story driven as this one, but it will have much shorter stories from time to time, hoping it would be much ore ask-driven than this one.

I still feel I’ve failed myself for not being able to move forward with the updates, despite the simplified artistic aspect of it. I still feel I’m failing the fans, even if sometimes I feel I’m just posting this on my fridge for the lack of feedback I usually get.

This time out... I will work loosely on the arts for header and designs of characters for the new blog so I can probably start it by the time my hiatus ends. After that, I’m not sure if I’ll keep posting Dice & Dining Room daily, or try and alternate it with days working only on updates for the other blog, which will get much fewer updates, but the quality of the art will be improved, hopefully on par with the writing.

Best case scenario, I will return to working on this hobby/artistic catharsis of mine after only a couple months. Until then... take care, and I’ll hopefully see you all back when I return.
