I am still here
Pining after love lost
I’m still here
Missing you terribly
I’m still here

I have had a crazy couple of weeks. Everything had been some sort of roller coaster ride. A lot didn't make sense. I frequently asked myself if it was necessary I try so hard. I didn't like how I felt but I couldn't just reach for a switch and turn it off. I struggled to show a very calm countenance but on the inside, I was a wreck. While on a trip out of town, a butterfly settled on my thigh. At first sight, it looked like a dried leaf. Torn in some places, holes in the wings, not pretty, not captivating, just so beautiful. As I stared at one of nature's wonders, a sense of calm awashed me. I felt a connection to the butterfly. The more I moved around it with my phone to take photos, the deeper it grounded itself on my jeans. It was adorable. At a point, I thought it couldn't fly but then I saw it flap its wings and my jaw dropped in awe. This crunchy leaf looking butterfly, when it spread its wings was so pretty, and captivating, and enchanting. It was truly beautiful. And it flew away with a swiftness that seemed impossible for something with a torn wing. On one of my darkest days, light found me... https://www.instagram.com/p/B9SKwZJpLIS/?igshid=hm2i7923mwlx
