okay i just want to read a fic where Eric told his parents about his relationship with Kyle and at first they are very sceptical about it, but then they "meet" Kyle during some phone calls and after thaht they are enchanted by him. Eric's parents start calling to his son just to talk to Kyle. Eric finds it nice. Once when his mom calls him while Kyle is at work or just spends time with his friends, Eric says that Kyle's parents are dickheads.

So, next day Eric's mom invites Kyle and Eric to visit her. And when they go there and Kyle meets Eric's parents in real, Eric's mom becomes the best mom for Kyle.
