After the release of Silksong, I decided I wanted to play it to see what the hype was about… starting, of course with the first game! And holy heck, was it worth it. Hollow Knight resonates with me to an extent I couldn't have ever expected. So, I eventually felt the strong impulse to draw some fanart (very rare from me 😭😭😭)

Birthplace

Was feeling a bit down so I doodled one of my favourite moments from the game.

This particular scene, where you discover your birthplace and the full extent of the Pale King's cruel plan, has stuck with me ever since I first played Hollow Knight. It's such an emotional moment and among my favourites out of all the games I've played.

The spot under the Knight's eye can be interpreted as a tear or just another mark on the egg. I wanted it to be a bit ambiguous.

Perhaps I will fully render this (and add the nail, oops) when I have more energy. In either case, enjoy!

(Tagging this as spoilers because this is very late into the game + there are many people who haven't played it yet or only just started-- I only started playing last year myself)
