it really just hit me that in the diner, that entire meal lasted probably like 30-45 minutes between buck ordering and getting his food and eating it and then ordering more food, and the whole time. the entire duration. he was absolutely monologuing at pissy hangry eddie. systemically ragebaiting him with sausage and pie. cheerfully and aggressively pushing all of his buttons nonstop as eddie dug his heels in further and further over his one black coffee. all this after hours on the road and them getting lost. like what do you mean it took literal homophobes interrupting them for eddie to lose it??? eddie diaz has the literal patience of a saint. they’re gonna get married one day.

Honestly, if Buddie does go canon, literally nothing has to change. Seriously, think about it.

Once they get past the initial admitting feelings, everything else can just be the same.

They can just show some more touches, some more loving glances. Everything else they already do.

The screaming, the crying, the anxiety over seeing the other hurt? Already there.

The protectiveness, the caring demeanour? Already there.

The dinners with Christopher? Already there.

The domestic behaviour around one another? Already there.

The random little facts about one another? Already there.

We don't need a lot. Just a little kiss here or there. It doesn't have to be a big change. Just knowing that they are together would be enough for me.

Just them laying around or hanging on the couch, just being together.

There's something about the way Hen keeps checking in on Eddie about Buck-related things in the same way you check in with a romantic partner. She knows that if something is going on with Buck it's not just affecting Buck; it will be affecting Eddie too, a lot. And the show keeps showing it, deliberately. This ep, checking in on him in the ambulance... I wonder if she would be doing this in the same way if it weren't for their conversation in Buck's kitchen in 9x15? I love the 'Hen knows' vibes and I'm just wondering if this is leading somewhere? I would just *die* if they get trapped in a lift together in the finale with Eddie all shot up and she actually explicitly Talks to him about it.

Like, I have been trying to figure things out because I was seeing patterns from S3 and 4 (and 6, but 6 and 4 are quite similar in that front so), but we are definitely going for S4 nachos, and I know that I can't prove that, but this plot happening the way it seems to be happening, makes me sure that they killed Shannon when they committed to making buddie the slowburn of the show, and Tim had a plan he put in motion based on death making buddie a family. But then fox censored them and he's been desperately trying to get that back. The will reveal was supposed to be the trigger because it was always meant to be about them stumbling into the realization that they are the family they crave and going for it. And I don't care if I'm wrong. There was a plan since Ryan joined the show. I refuse to believe this shit is accidental. This expectation around death and being family is half the reason I predict shit in this show. And I stay predicting this shit so.
