We get crunchy and look into how damage breaks down in the final mainline Final Fantasy to use ATB!
All battle mechanic changes in Hacker's Memory
General mechanic changes
The maximum Ability is now 200, rather than 100.
Most Digimon with Piercing Specials have had their Attack/Intelligence multiplier reduced, and their descriptions no longer specify how large the multiplier is. Instead they call the output damage "medium," (中) "large," (大) or "heavy/extra-large." (特大)
Most Digimon with standard damaging Specials have seen either a +5 or a +10 buff to that Special's base power. A few examples can be seen under "Special Skill changes."
Unless otherwise mentioned below, any Special Skill that inflicts a status effect has now had its probability to inflict it raised or lowered to make that probability exactly 40%.
Inheritable Skill changes
Dispel and Restore now cost 25 SP rather than 8.
Seven of the status error moves have been reduced to 70% accuracy instead of 100%: Texture Blow, Panic Wisp, Shock, Venom Trap, Idle Bubble, Ripping Net, and Character Reverse.
Support End is the only status move to retain 100% accuracy.
Support Skill changes
#324 Magnamon's Miracle now has a 10% chance of reducing damage by 75%, instead of reducing damage by 30%.
#219 Alphamon's Hermitic Loner now increases the damage dealt to Royal Knight Digimon by 50%, instead of 20%.
#249 Shine Greymon: Burst Mode's Shining Burst now increases the damage the party receives by 50%, rather than 25%.
#150 Aero V-dramon & #220 Ulforce V-dramon's Swiftness now only affects the user.

No region restriction on Digimon tournaments in Hacker's Memory, user titles mistranslated
With the international launch of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory on PlayStation 4 and Vita over January 19th, the English-speaking world has been brought into the fold of the ongoing Adult Digimon tournament that began in Japan earlier this month.
The revelation comes as a surprise to some, as the most recent tournament has been themed around Japanese New Year's. In light of the culturally-specific Kagami Mochi accessories being the primary multiplayer reward, and the event itself already being several days in-progress, up to now it was not unthinkable that English-speaking territories would have their own separate track of events.
This news may be for the best; while a handful of player titles and accessories remain Japan-exclusive for the time being due to the earlier launch of Hacker's Memory in Asia, in the long term all of these will become available to all players regardless of their language or country of origin. A list of the current Japan exclusives can be found beneath the cut.

Adult-level Digimon tournament begins in Japan
At noon January 15th Japanese Standard Time the second Hacker's Memory tournament Shin'nen! Akemashite Omegamon came to a close, and the game's third event battle began. The theme of the next tournament, which will continue through the 31st, is "Adults and lower/No duplicates."
The rules of the tournament are as follows;
Level 50 fixed/Bonus stats invalid
30 Memory limit
Party members may only be Adult level or lower
You may not use more than one of the same Digimon in your party
Tamers are permitted to use Shoutmon (who has no level, but evolves from Koromon) but not Omega Shoutmon. Sistermon Noir and Blanc's respective Awakened forms may also be used, as can the Child-level Lucemon. The Memory size for most Adult-level Digimon ranges from 6~8, while the Awakened Sistermons are both 18 Memory in size, and Lucemon is 14.

Digimon Christmas tournament ends in Japan, Nokia avatar added for Omegamon-themed event
At noon January 1st, 2018, the first event battle for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory came to a close. Titled "Vaccine-type & Light-attribute Special Tournament" the theme of the event was using Vaccine-Light Digimon like Holydramon and Sleipmon. To commemorate the holiday season, the unique rewards available included three different colors of Santa hats, and three colors of present box, any of which players could use to decorate their Digimon for the season. Digimon tamers battled against one another to for coins, then redeemed them in the online shop for the digital accessories.
The second event battle is "A New Year! Happy Omegamon Tournament" (新年!あけオメガモン大会) with the theme for both the tournament and the item shop being New Year's celebrations. The Santa hats in the coin shop have been replaced by three colors of kagami mochi, a traditional New Years decoration consisting of three layers of mochi rice cakes topped by a bitter orange

Arctic Blizzard's probability of inflicting Stun raised from 25% to 40%.
Lovely Attack has been completely overhauled.
Element changed from Physical-Neutral to Recovery.
SP cost reduced from 30 to 20.
Originally, Lovely Attack dealt Intelligence-penetrating Neutral damage equal to Monzaemon's Intelligence with a 20% chance of inflicting Confusion. Now Lovely Attack restores one ally's HP (seemingly by 50% of max) and raises their Attack, Defense, and Intelligence by 15%.
Ulforce & Aero V-dramon nerfed in Hacker's Memory
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory launched in Japan December 14th, and a look at its updated Field Guide confirms the longstanding bane of Cyber Sleuth’s ranked multiplayer has taken a devastating blow.
Ulforce and Aero V-dramon have been staples of the competitive scene since its most formative days due to their shared Support Skill, Swiftness. Originally Swiftness caused the user’s party to always move first in battle by inserting an extra turn into the timeline for each party member–even when they would have already moved first to begin with. The Support was also stackable, so that a party of three Ulforce or Aero V-dramons would get 9 consecutive turns at the start of battle, and those turns were transferable to any Digimon switched in.
Memory adds a single clause to Swiftness; “(This skill only affects the user.)”

Hacker's Memory coming to Europe in 2018, does not include Cyber Sleuth pack-in
March 21st, 2017. Bandai Namco of Europe tweeted this morning announcing that Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory will come to Europe in early 2018. The European game will feature Japanese voices with English and German subtitles. The game will come to the PlayStation Vita digitally, while both physical and digital versions will be put out for the PlayStation 4.
While Hacker's Memory is confirmed to contain the original Cyber Sleuth in Japan, Bandai EU stated has stated that the European release only includes the new game. One of the selling points of the Hacker's Memory package in Japanese waters is being able to play through the original game with the 73 additional Digimon that were not available in the 2015 release.
Bandai has stated that this is "the final final FINAL confirmation" of a Vita release, in reference to last year's -next 0rder- debacle in which the company mistakenly told the press that Digimon World -next 0rder-'s international release would be physical and digital on both PlayStation 4 with no Vita release, then rescinded their statement to say the game would also have a digital release on Vita, and then rescinded their additional statement to announce that the game would be a PS4 exclusive.
