Directed by filmmaker Zoë Le Ber and brought to life by Semaine, a weekly lifestyle platform based in London, the film was shot in the high summer heat of the California desert – as a direct nod to global warming and America’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord (the USA is the only country to not participate). Starring Ariana Delawari, Hannah Behadry and Atiya Walcott, The Emperor features the song “Million Dollar Secret” by female-fronted band, Lucius. All of the artists involved donated their work.
