The visitors do not need to fill their details in a book anymore. Digital Gorkha simply verifies a visitor’s details with a phone number and a photograph, and sends a confirmation call or SMS to the concerned resident—with or without the presence of a visitor’s host. This verified data is then automatically uploaded from a tablet to a secure server, and everything is constantly backed up. The owners do not need to worry about safeguarding the data manually. This app also lets the visitors check-out when they leave the building in order to ensure everyone’s safety.
With Digital Gorkha at your service, you can pre-register all your expected guests. Your security desk will know who to let up to your space, and sign-in will be a breeze. The pre-registered visitor will receive an e-mail with the date and time of the meeting, along with information like parking, elevator instructions, the Wi-Fi password, and even nearby coffee shops.
“Gorkha is already operational in two societies in Pune, where more than 5000 visitors have been signed-in, 10,000+ SMS’s exchanged, and 100+ events have been created through this app in a one-month trial run,” says the company representative. “With the increasing prevalence of phone sensors, NFC, iBeacon products like Estimote and Apple Watch, it’s plausible that users could one day have their own Gorkha ID, which will automatically logs them in as visitors wherever they visit, keeping track of each visit,” he added.
The basic package of Digital Gorkha starts with Rs. 2500 per month and increases as one opts for the advance, premium, or ultra package. Presently accessible to the Android platform, Gorkha will soon be available in apple stores also.
