 winter          bites          sharp          in          derry          ,          a     complete     contrast     to     the     beauty     of     its     summer          ;          streets     coated     with     heavy     in     white     frost          ___          the     air     cuts     your     lungs          ,          tightens     in     the     throat          .          it     is     not     the     kind     of     weather     for     𝚃𝙾𝚁𝙽     𝚄𝙿     𝙹𝙴𝙰𝙽𝚂     &     a     𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄     𝐂𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄     𝐉𝐔𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑          /          yet          ,          is     entirely     the     scenario     she     has     flung     herself     into          .          in     a     surge     of     strength          ,          bore          defiance          ;          a     disobedience     towards     her     parents     saw     her     leave     the     warmth     of     her     bedroom     &     trekking     into     the     center     of     the     town          ___          if     just     for     the     peace     of     being     away          ,          from     a     home     that     is     colder     than     all     of     derry’s     winters          .          (          an          action          she          will          pay          for          when     she     gets     back          /          but     is     𝙴𝙽𝚃𝙸𝚁𝙴𝙻𝚈     𝚆𝙾𝚁𝚃𝙷     𝙸𝚃     for     the     time     being          )

 rosey     cheeks     are     numb     as     she     waits          ,          sat     on     the     steps     of     the     town’s     synagogue          ___          a     decision     𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃     𝐎𝐍     𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍          ,          seeing     as     there     had     been     no     answer     at     his     family     home          ;          but     could     not     muster     the     courage     to     go     inside          /          to     have     to     explain     why     she     was     out     in     the     cold          ,          &          lie          .          at     least     with     stan          ,          she     never     had     to          .

 hands     buried     under     the     stretch     of     her     sleeves          ,          she     watches     as     her     breath     plumes     into     white     mist          ;          a     found     source     of     entertainment     that     passes     the     time     until     heavy     doors     creak     open     &     she     falls     witness     to     the     revelation     of     her     friend          ___          a     notion     that     conjures     the     𝙽𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙰𝙻     𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽     of     a     smile     across     bluing     lips                 “          hi          ”                 &     she     stands          ,          taken     aback     by     the     suddenness     of     his     jacket     being     shrugged     from     his     shoulders     &          caped          onto          hers          ;          to     which     she     instinctively     pulls     tighter     around     her                 “          i     went     by     your     house     but     no     one     seemed     to     be     in          ,          so     i     thought     i’d     check     here          ”                 -                 “          𝐘𝐎𝐔     𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀     𝐃𝐎     𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆     ?          ”
