* GODRICOFGAULĀ ā° GODRICĀ !
HIS HOME AND HIS LIFE had been so quiet and lonely for years nowāā- years which spanned the width of many lifetimes if Godric contemplated it. He had adapted to being alone for so long that he had convinced himself that he preferred it that way. When Indie had unexpectedly entered his private circle, followed closely by her twin Candy, Godric began to second-guess the solitary existence that had been a comfortāā- because it felt nice to have someone⦠Then suddenly he had many someones.
Charlie was the newest addition to his expanding circle, and she was one of the most gentle souls that Godric had met. Her vulnerability inspired him; to continue to put others before herself despite her past. They had more in common than the ancient vamp could have expectedāā both far-flung expats to Texas who had managed to piece together a kaleidoscope of experiences and people that made up a life.
And now he was participating in another ritual of normal human lifeā one that Charlie made so easy and comfortable that Godric began to believe that these weekly dinners were something that he had always been a part of. So when she seemed nervous to tell him something, Godric adopted his typical patient, tolerant attitude as he peered into the gift bag and extracted the baby clothes and envelope. An instant smile spread across his features as he looked at Charlie. ā How are you feeling? ā He knew just enough about the ballerina to understand that this was likely a shock to her but he could not help the pure excitement that he was feeling. It was enough to bring on a welling of bloody tears in the corners of his eyes.
CHARLIE DIDNāT REALIZEĀ that she had been holding her breath this entire time in anticipation. Maybe it was the fact she considered Godric as a father to her after he swooped in ( literally ) to rescue her from the person she couldnāt even look at in the mirror: Joanne Miller. From the moment Stan brought her back to the Dallas nest with the arrival of Godric and his partner Indigo in tow a few days later, Godric had been the only one to understand that something was going on behind the scenesĀ āā naĆÆveĀ to the whispering powers of his hybrid partner, Charlie instead chose to believe that somehow Godric just knew, just like her own father would have known if he were still alive to witness the special news. She had him to thank for bringing back Charlie Calderone Stackhouse.
As Charlie watched Godric inspect the contents of the gift bag she finally allowed herself a chance to breathe; passing out was not on her agenda that evening. In spite of this and the smile coming from the vampire her mind was remained stuck one thing & one thing only.Ā āI-I hope Iām notā oversteppingāā before she could finish voicing her concerns with her head motioning towards the tiny pieces of fabric in his hands she completely lost it. Here she was worrying about forcing the grandpa role on an ancient vampire & there was Godric... crying with her?Ā
She almost couldnāt believe what she was seeing in the best imaginable way.Ā āTiredā no, exhausted. Scared, too.ā It was the reason why she had made the decision to only allow Godric in the not so little secret. At least for the time being; the risks involved in the early stages kept her up at night but nearing the corner of the twelve week mark, it was beginning to become impossible to hide triplets.Ā āBut you didnāt look good enough.ā with laughter now erupting through her own tears ( she could only imagine Godric thinking thereās another baby ) she reached forward to shuffle the tissue paper around to pull out the on-the-go sized tissue packet, her nurturing nature almost immediately coming out, to take one of the tissues and wipe away the blood-stained tears. Remaining true to Charlie fashion, she pats below his eyes, deciding to break the tension with her usualĀ sarcasm.Ā āAre those supposed to be ha-happy tears or should I go warn Jason?ā
@godricofgaulā gets a surprise starter !
HEART POUNDED AGAINST HER CHESTāā there was no doubt in her mind that the ancient vampire would be able to pick up on the increased nerves the moment Charlie asked Godric to join her for a private conversation in the bedroom, much to her dismay. Leaving Jason to take care of the pile of unwashed dishes alone in the kitchen after their traditional Sunday night dinner, the pregnant dancer was quick in her movements in order to beat Godric to bedroom towards the closet where a carefully planned gift bag containing not one, but three, custom onesies with the words āworldās best vamp-paā on the front & carefully hidden behind that, an envelope with the ultrasound photos.
āHāHereā¦ā Out of all the different scenarios played out in her mind, after all the time spent rehearsing how she would announce the news to her adopted father, handing Godric the gift bag while sitting down on the edge of the bed and managing to get out a nervousĀ āhereā was not how she pictured this to go down. If she continued to speak, it came at the risk of a flood warning: so instead she waited for him to take the bag, nerves on edge on how the one & only remaining father figure in her life would react.Ā āI-Iāve been waiting all night to give this to you, here. Youā here, gāgāgo ahead and open it.ā
* DYNAMITEABS ā° JAMISON !
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The way she moved backwards didnāt go unnoticed, and Jamison made sure not to invade her space any further. Perhaps she knew about his past somehow? Whatever it was, he didnāt want to cause her any anxiety. The laughter at the idea of a date wasnāt the best sign, but she was probably out of his league, so it was understandable. To him, she looked like a rock star or something.Ā āWotās in it for me? I get taā enjoy your company. Dinner with a beautiful woman with a story to tell isnāt something that comes along everyday.ā He wanted to tell her that he saw the sadness in her eyes, because he used to have that same look. But that would have sounded corny. Sometimes people just needed someone to listen to them, and Junkrat could be that person⦠especially if he was stuffing his mouth full of food.Ā āAnd we donāt have taā call it a date. We can just be two friends going out to eat together, if that sounds better.ā
GETTING ASKED OUT WASNāT OUT OF THE ORDINARY. In fact, Charlie couldnāt even remember the last time she worked a shift at the strip club without being hit on. That became something she expected as part of the job experience & a fact of life that could be dealt with accordingly. But to have this man come up to her and ask her out on what appeared to her to be a date, well...Ā that was something Charlie had not been expecting. Junkrat appeared to be harmless with his explanations, but at the same time, she couldnāt ( or wouldnāt ) let her trusting nature put her in the way of potential danger. Not again.Ā āIām still not t-too sure youād want to hear my stories, b-but...ā She couldnāt allow herself to throw everyone under the bus without giving them a chance forever.Ā Brushing a strand of her natural brunette locks behind her ears, Charlie finally nodded in agreement to the arrangement.Ā āIāve never been on a real date before, or... what did you say? Never really had a real friend to eat food with, either.ā Thatās what happens when someone spends their life dedicated to their craft.Ā āābut Iām at least willing to give it a shot if you are.ā
OPEN TO: m/f/nb. CONNECTIONS:Ā a customer thatĀ charlie joanne checked into the bed & breakfast / ranchĀ about two weeks agoĀ & she canāt help but notice that your muse has stayed longer than the typical guest, recognizing like herself and her own situation,Ā that they have something in common: both having nowhere to go.
āARE YOU STAYINā ANOTHER NIGHT?ā same clothes washed over and over again while living out of a suitcase, a potential fake name ( or was that her projecting? ), mostly keeping to themselvesāā charlie has been there before, hell, she was currently still living under the roof of the woman who had been gracious enough to take her under her wings in exchange for work. maybe, just maybe, she could convince susan to extend the same offer to them. she lifts her head from her gaze at the front desk, no evidence of judgement to be heard in her voice. curiosity always did manage to get the best of her.Ā āare you looking at houses in the area, perhaps?ā
QUICK PSA: holding conversations and plotting ooc has been TOUGH.Ā iām slowly getting out of this depressive episode and just wanted to stop in & thank you all for being patient with replies on here ( both ooc and ic )Ā since i love that you all want to write with indie and just wanted to assure everyone that has been waitingā¦. *checks calendar* shshjajhds too longĀ that iām not going anywhere, iām just asking for everyoneās continued patience if i donāt answer messages ( or forget! ) and focus on threads/writing instead until this episode is over.
tldr; depression is a bitch ā indie, probably.
* SKYHAUNTS ā° TIMOTHY !
itās a good thing heās never been a gambling man, timothy realizes when he hears the words dad and ranch and the blatant interest of it all. if he werenāt too busy kicking himself, he might even laugh. because how could he have known that when joanne said sheās willing to work hard, she meant it. customer service is right there in all its air-conditioned glory, and sheās asking about the job that entails standing around in texas heat herding cattle and mending fences. the job he was willing to bet his paycheck sheād gloss over just minutes ago. now heās furrowing his brow when he realizes where her question is going, what her words are leading up to, and purses his lips.
he gets it, with her reassurances that sheās not pickyāhell, with her even stepping into pettus with the intention of working instead of driving on through: he gets it. if somebody chooses to stick around in this town, theyāre either lacking options or lacking sense, and she seems to have plenty of the latter. he just wishes he could offer a better selection of the former.Ā
still, the crease between his brows eases at the slight trip in her words. he should say no, plain and simple and immediate, cut the cord before it unravels into something he canāt take back. never mind, i lied, thereās no job ā or better yet: my family doesnāt actually have a ranch. sorry. anybody else and maybe he wouldnāt feel like an ass at the thought of lying through his teeth to rescind a job opportunity, maybe heād be able to flat out reject her proposal, but she sounds so earnest offering to work for a roof over her head that he canāt find it in himself to deliver the definitive no.
Ā Ā Ā Ā āmmmm - maybe,ā he hums before answering. truth is, for all his reluctance to turn her away, he doesnāt know. the couple of ranch hands they have now commute from their own homes. room and board would be something new, butā āthereās a bunkhouse. small, came with the property. weāve been trying to spruce it up and make it a little more modern.ā mainly his mother, but timothy is usually the one fixing floorboards and painting walls, so he feels the all-encompassing āweā is warranted here. āiām sure heād be more than willing to let you stay in exchange for work.āĀ
however, as nice as it is to make that assurance, the reality hasnāt changed, and ignoring it would make him as bad as his parents. worse, actually, considering the circumstances. itās one thing to pretend everything is fine with people who only visit the ranch during the day, but itās another thing when those people might be living on the ranch themselves. especially when the evidence of late nights spent trying to ignore the drumming of a helicopter that doesnāt exist or the lights of a truck that seems to vanish beyond the trees and into the skyĀ lingers in the dark circles beneath his eyes and the slouch of his posture that turns tense at the subject.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ābut i⦠you should know that things have been⦠weird at the ranch.ā his nose wrinkles in a wince. he has no idea how to start with explaining the activity on the ranch, but even by his own clueless standards, he can admit itās not the best beginning.Ā āitās just that, things have gone missing,ā his voice grows quiet. not a whisper, but low enough to speak without drawing attention from patrons in nearby booths. they have the counter and its bright red stools to themselves, but still ā anyone in the lunch crowd would love to overhear something new to throw into the town gossipā āand reappeared out of nowhere. thereās been bright lights and strange noises and stuff like that. weird shit.ā he shrugs, a jerk of his shoulders as if heās trying to shake the whole thing off. āitās none of us, my family. maybe itās some town prank thatās gone on too long, i dunno, but i figure you should know before you agree to anything.ā
SURE, CHARLIEāS A CITY GIRL AT HEART;Ā perhaps thatās one of the main reasons why the idea of working on a cattle ranch managed to peak her interest. while charlieās interest in the job offer might have been misconstrued as the plot of a new cheesy rom-com movie hitting theaters, deep down she knows for a fact that this might be her one and only chance to start a new life. a complete stranger to manual labor in comparison to the comfort back in new york, sheās also aware of the fact that this lifestyle wasnāt going to be an overnight adjustment. having spent all her time in the dance studio training to become a professional BALLERINA during her formative years sheās not only a stranger to manual labor, but work in general. despite the challenges she faces in the back of her mind working on the ranch is the ONLY solution that could solve all her problems.Ā
she wouldnāt have lasted another day out there on the road without putting her neck out like this. there was no time to go applying to all the major corporationsĀ āā even if those companies somehow managed to look past her lack of resume, they wouldnāt have been able to fulfill her need to find a place to stay, and even then she would have been stuck for another two weeks until her first paycheck arrived. thatās not what she wants. no, charlie wanted to EARN her keep, no matter what the cost. by the way timothy is looking at her, sheās convinced that heās about to crush any hope she has left of starting anew, not even aware of her subconsciously holding her breath in anticipation.Ā and in an instant, EVERYTHING CHANGES.
maybe. charlie could work with a maybe. she didnāt need a mansion; all she needed was four walls and a roof over her head. from the sound of things, if what timothy is telling her is true, then all things considered she thought she hit the LOTTERY. emerald hues light up as she speaks, a sparkle in her eye.Ā āa bunkhouse? believe me, iā iām not gonna complain. hand me a paint brush, let me fix up the place for youāā whatever you want, i just need a place to sleep.ā
for a brief moment in time charlie allows her desperation to shine through; a momentarily lapse in judgement that not even she could have predicted. not wanting to appear too eager in the potential offer, she reigns herself in, nodding along with timothyās warning to show that she was, in fact, listening. truth be told, the woman doesnāt think too much of his warning. it was in her nature to be naive, and for a moment she believes him when it comes to the re-telling of mysterious happenings out in the middle of nowhere on a ranch, but at the last moment she catches herself. what he is saying couldnāt be trueĀ ā could it?Ā
āitās a good thing iāve only got the clothes on my back and in my suitcase then, huh? i donāt have many things to go missing out there.ā a smile is offered in his direction, responding in a hushed tone just as timothy had. she believed him. every single word, she believed him. the sarcasm was her feeble attempt at breaking the tension that lingered in the air around them. besides, what other choice did she have but to take him up on his offer? that is, if the offer still stands.Ā ālisten, i... i believe you. but from the look of things, i donāt have any other choice, and with that story of yours it sounds like youā like you donāt have too many people willing to take the job on the ranch.ā eyes glance down at the counter, then back up at timothy with another smile. ābesides, if something strange is going on out there... canāt make any promises, but iād be more than happy to at least try and back you up if it gets too scary.ā
* BIISCIONE ā° RAFAEL !
Ā Ā Ā Ā Surely Raphael was a bastard but not THAT much of one, to scold and beat down another at the lowest point in their life. Surprisingly, and with great fortune, he was not his fatherās sonĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā and matters such as a lost investment troubled him little over the ailing health of someone he cared deeply for and loved. But reckless was he with his caring, so intent on seeing the positive outcome and never being able to foresee the worst possible one till it was much too lateĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā now that made him his fatherās son. Ā Ā Ā Ā Cold fingers drop from her chin coincidentally with her challenge, crooked smile mirroring her own weakend one. She was much too smart for him to act in such an obviously foolish manner; he should have remembered that.Ā ā Iām a fool, ā he answers her question with the same somber smirk,Ā ā thatās why I ask. ā His honesty was not something she had earned; it was something she DESERVED.Ā ā And I am. I came as soon as I heard. ā There was no point in continuing to put off the issue, toy with it like a game from the politest of society.Ā ā I came to see youĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā the company will be losing a valuable asset. ā A stale way of delivering a compliment but it is a compliment, nonetheless.
THIS TIME AROUND A GENUINEĀ SMILE WAS OFFERED. sheĀ saw no point in beating around the bush with both of them knowing the true reason for his visitāā but then again, raphael always did manage to surprise the former ballerina over the years. who was to say that his visit was only to check in with the company after charlieās sudden departure? she thought back to all the times the two of them argued, how the two of them could neverĀ agree to disagree on his vampirismāā sheād been so convinced that things would work out between them despite her being human, but like everything else, all good things came to an end.Ā
āyou are a fool, yes.ā as she stood there with her arms clinging to his cold frame she couldnāt even fathom the idea of letting go after all this time apart. it was a story as old as time between the two of them and the underlying reason for the unexpected visit only further fueled charlieās need for affection in their embrace. she meant no harm with her rebuttal, the weakened smile returning to her face to let rafael know that fact.Ā āwell, itās a good thing you decided to come now when the news is still freshāā distance is placed between their bodies as she leans back to get a better look at the vampire as she allowed the sarcasm to sneak through her lips,Ā āitās good you saw me before I turn into one of thoseĀ bitter, old, ballet teachers who lost everything?ā
whoās gonna come do fall activities with the yeehaw bitch on the ranch?? friendly reminder that itās also a bed & breakfast & charlie volunteers on weekends during various events including, but not limited to:
1. pony rides ( muses with children anyone?? ) 2. volunteering as the trail guide for the 1 hour horse riding trail & giving a one-on-one private riding session but itās just charlie gushing for an hour about all the horses & their different personalities that live on the ranch. 3. corn maze attendant where she has to come & get your muse because theyāve been lost for hours but have been to stubborn to flag her down while sheās been watching this entire time. 4. alternatively: working at night during the haunted corn maze as a scare actor & oh shit, who the hell just punched me?! 5. being one of the judges for a costume contestĀ āā hey wait, are you flirting with me or are you trying to bribe me?? 6. seeing someone sneak in without paying and both of them realizing that each other saw the other but she doesnāt get paid enough to care & pretends she didnāt see them. 7.Ā face painting!! checking in guests into their rooms at the hotel!! being the one who checks in on the guests & their needs!!!!!! 8. ANOTHER PERSON DOWN ON THEIR LUCK LIVING AT THE RANCH & WORKING WITH CHARLIE IN GENERAL?? thank you.
Imagine Person A trying to teach Person B how to dance.
* WITHOUT-AN-ALIBI ā° JACKSON !
āI do?ā
He asked her softly, surprised by her confession. Which showed. This was soon followed by a smile though, because he was glad about this. She was precious to him. Ā It was a wonder that she had stuck around. Knowing he hadnāt exactly made her job easy at times.
āYeah. Now I know why.ā
He observed with a lighthearted chuckle. If he remembered this tomorrow he was definitely going to tease her about this. Not in public though. He wasnāt cruel.. His eyes widened slightly when hshe grabbed hold of his hand once more. This made him smile. He noticed her slight stutter. He didnāt think anything of it though. If anything, he thought it was cute..
āI did. Shit. Well, damn. Iām just gonna have to live with that huh?ā
He responded with a lighthearted chuckle, giving her hand a gentle squeeze before he rose to his feet, somewhat more unsteadily this time. He reaching out as he stumbled slightly, he managed to wrap his other arm around her to keep from falling. Luckily without knocking her down in the process..
āWoah, sorry.. ā
He murmured softly to her once he was steadier on his feet. His gaze wandered towards her lips for a second or two until he realized just how close they were standing in front of each other all of a sudden. This made him release her from his embrace, steeping back to give her some space. He kept holding her hand though..
CHARLIE OPENED HER MOUTH TO SPEAK but instead she settles for a gentle nod at his question to confirm that he does, in fact, make her feel safe. judging from the shocked expression on his face she couldnāt quite tell whether or not he believed this to be a bad thing. should she have told him something like that? as charlie stands there waiting for any sign of disgust at her statement her mind wandered to the worst possible scenario.Ā
āyeah. we might have to see about that tomoāā before charlie even had the chance to finish her sarcastic comment over the power struggle to adopt the dog tomorrow her eyes focused on him almost going down to the ground, hands reaching out to prevent him from falling to the ground completely. both of them didnāt need to hurt themselves; spending her time at the hospital was not the ideal way she wanted to spend the rest of the night.Ā
āyou have to be more careful, you hear me?ā her voice lowers to a whisper. and yet as she stood there supporting him with her own body weight ( at least until he could support himself )Ā charlie doesnāt dare move an inch. she wasnāt stupid. she could see the way jack was looking at her, mere inches from each others lipsāā she couldnāt deny that the thought hadnāt crossed her mind, too.
rather than make a big deal out of the closeness, charlie paused, only to raise her hand and brush away a few strands of brunette locks out of jacksonās eyes and behind his ears.Ā āi, uh...ā her voice trailed off into the abyss. itās only when jackson backed away from her did she straighten out and clear her throat, taking the initiative to take a few steps in the direction of the bedroom area of the hotel.Ā āthereās, uhā thereās nothing to be sorry about. you cominā?ā
* BIISCIONE ā° RAFAEL !
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā With his tender endearments and sweet whisperings, he does harbor immense GUILT for his sudden and brutalĀ departure but only a miniscule portion of it is reflected in sympathetic ebony hues. The vampire had concluded, long before he had stepped into that room, that she would not welcome him, not completely anyway. It is with pleasant surprise that she calls out to him sweetly, with that oh-so-distant yet warmly familiar endearment, lengthy arms instinctively wrapping around her and holding her form tightly against his own. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Silence weighs heavy in the air for a brief moment, allowing an appropriate response to settle on his tongue before he speaks.Ā ā Simply thought I should visit, ā a veryĀ obvious LIE but why would he do away with his collected faƧade? Even now?Ā ā Has time been good to you? ā Lengthy fingers cup her chin and demand her gaze. He knows that is hasnāt and that is the true reason for his sudden visit.
THE YEARS HAVE NOT, IN FACT, BEEN KIND TO THE BALLERINA. as charlie stands there with raphaelās hand cupped underneath her chin she canāt help but feel like a failure. with her body subjected to years of self-inflicted abuse ( as most of the population would call it ) from years of dancing under her belt left her feeling like maybe, just maybe, that raphael returned after all these years to SCOLD her for even thinking about giving up the company that he managed to secure for her after the purchase of the dance studio. not even charlie could be that NAIVE. not anymore. she couldnāt afford to be the innocent girl she once was.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā considering the alternative reasons behind raphaelās impromptu visit and the implications, she refused to acknowledge those fears.Ā āyouāve never been that good of a LIAR.ā despite the severity of her words she cracks a weakened smile, solemnly shaking her head no as a response to his question. she couldnāt bring herself to ADMIT that sheās in poor health; something tells her that raphael already knew. āāāyouāre asking questions you already know the answer to. why?ā charlie isnāt on her death bed. there should be no reason for her to freak out and assume the worst, or at the very least, thatās what charlie repeated in the back of her mind. unable to fathom the alternatives, her mind wanders to what she considered to be the worst case scenario.Ā āare... are you here because you heard about me gāgiving up my role in the COMPANY?ā
* HERCPUTATION ā° LETHA !
āĀ IĀ Ā Ā sometimesĀ Ā Ā questionĀ Ā Ā whyĀ Ā Ā youĀ Ā Ā Ā evenĀ Ā Ā likeĀ Ā Ā meĀ Ā Ā sometimes,Ā Ā iāmĀ Ā Ā assumingĀ Ā Ā itāsĀ Ā Ā Ā becauseĀ Ā Ā Ā weĀ Ā Ā Ā bothĀ Ā Ā Ā knowĀ Ā Ā thatĀ Ā Ā iāmĀ Ā Ā wayĀ Ā Ā betterĀ Ā Ā thanĀ Ā Ā theĀ Ā Ā Ā idiotĀ Ā Ā Ā IĀ Ā Ā Ā callĀ Ā Ā Ā aĀ Ā Ā brother,Ā Ā hmm?Ā Ā āĀ Ā Ā lethaĀ Ā Ā respondedĀ Ā Ā backĀ Ā Ā withĀ Ā Ā aĀ Ā Ā smugĀ Ā Ā smileĀ Ā Ā onĀ Ā Ā herĀ Ā Ā face
DONāT PANIC, LETHAāS SIMPLY LOOKING FOR REASSURANCEĀ āā shit. sheās stuck between wanting to agree with the other woman but, well... thereās a reason why charlie managed to get a reputation for being a goody-goody. charlie calling someone an idiot? completely unheard of.Ā āi, uh... uh...ā she stumbles over her words, a light bulb going off in her head after a moment. she could work with a loophole.Ā āeverythingās subjective, but... youāre pretty damn great in my eyes, letha.ā
iām still workinā on getting to replies & messages across my blogs!Ā how about you come check out my INTEREST CHECKER in the mean time? it not only includes charlie, but all my other muses as well, if youād prefer to write with them, or even multiples. iāll be reaching out to those who have already filled out the form in the next few days but would love to hear from some new people!Ā
* WITHOUT-AN-ALIBI ā° JACKSON !
āThatās a good thing, considerinā you donāt seem worried at all.ā
Jack said, his brow furrowed in concern as he handed her one of his shirts to wear. She had been feeling sick for a while now, which worried him greatly. Thatās why he was insisting on taking her to the hospital right now. He had no idea what time it was, but he didnāt care. He wanted to get to the bottom of this once and for all. He let out a little sigh of relief when she agreed to go with him.
āIf youāre right, you can tell me you told me so after. As often as you want.ā
He observed with a hint of amusement. If not.. that was something he didnāt even want to think about right now. He cared about her too much. Hell, he loved her. He just hadnāt uttered the words out loud to her yet.. Once she was seated he quickly moved around the truck to get in on the driverās side. He clumsily put his seatbelt on before he started the ignition, checked his mirrors before he drove off towards the hospital with her.
THAT WAS EXACTLY HER POINT.Ā charlieās not worried. however, she understood the reason behind why jackson would be worried about her after he witnessed how jarring her fainting episodes could be for the first time. even though she thought going to the hospital was a waste of a time, thereās still an underlying fear that something could potentially be wrong, no matter how much charlie wanted to prove that she was right. adorned in his t-shirt ( turned into a dress on her petite frame ) while she nods in agreement with his words, curled up in the passengers side seat as jackson began to drive. sheās too tired to argue with him.Ā
āāāyou wonāt hear the end of it, trust me.ā she offered him one of her sarcastic comments in an attempt to break the tension that lingered in the air during the car ride to the emergency room. charlie decided to remain quiet with her eyes closed and her head against the window for most of the ride until the two of them arrived at the front entrance. wanting to beat him to the punch, charlie unbuckled her seat belt before opening the door and stepping out of his truck. it takes her a moment to regain her balance, leaning against the hood of the truck.Ā ām-maybe itās a good thing we decided to come after all.ā
