Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

January 11: Bookshelf.
Here’s an updated picture of one of my bookshelves. It needs reorganized badly.
God has taken me through stuff. Hard stuff. Stuff I didn’t want or ask for. God has let me suffer. He has not explained why and He has not always answered my questions or my prayers. I don’t understand His methods, but I believe He loves me. Sometimes, in the darkest moments, the only thing I have to cling to is the fact that Jesus died for me; but if that were the only evidence I had for His love, it would be enough.

Grace gives us an awakening. It is the cold water cascading from heaven to wake us up about the goodness and love as the nature of God. It is the trumpet call and victory song about the King fighting the battle for and paying the debt of prisoners of sin. Grace bears the headlines about convicts freed, lost people found, hearts renewed, new beginnings, heavenly celebration, and a triumphant Savior. It is the good news of forgiveness, salvation, adoption, identity, hope, and rest. Grace happened because God is both love and just. Grace happened because God loves us “in our darkest.” Grace happened because it didn’t matter if we did good or bad works— we couldn’t ever reach the cut for perfection and righteousness on our own. That is why God did it for us, instead.

Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage, just literally twenty seconds of embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.

Being haunted by desire of authenticity I take stealthy photos sometimes. I am interested to know how people read when they think nobody’s looking. The world surely does not exist for them at that moment.

We’re so worried about offending everybody else have we ever stop to consider that we may offended God.
