I’ve already been going this way for a while, but I really am at the point where I’m only donating to campaigns and candidates directly - no more DNC, DSCC, DCCC etc. At least not until shit gets better and things change.

Which sucks, because part of the issue is the lack of durable infrastructure and support. But if the party doesn’t want that, I’ll do what I can for who I can.

Staffing for these orgs needs to change too - the requirements and the pay are both fucked and reinforce the situation we find ourselves in.

Marc Elias is an election attorney, creator of the Elias Law Group and founder of Democracy Docket, who oversaw the state election lawsuits that ensured Trump couldn’t steal the 2020 election (he won all but one case). He has since been more responsible for wins against Trump in court than anybody and is the primary reason Trump hasn’t gotten the voting records from the states before the midterms. He has done the done the absolute most to keep Trump from going full dictator.

I wonder how voters would feel about DSA candidates like Abdul El-Sayed going to Senate when the co chair of the DSA stated that the Senate is an undemocratic institution and needs to be abolished and replace the presidency with a subordinate chosen by Congress, which will significantly reduce the American populace voice in the political system.

Democrats should be showing voters who the DSA really are so it might motivate some primary voters to get off their butts and stop these white grievance interlopers. Otherwise, they'll get to the feel the hot stove.

DSA will never overturn the government, tho, which is what it would take to get rid of the Senate. But it might help Democrats to highlight just how much they hate America.
