BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Of Stars and Songbirds will be undergoing an overhaul!!

So what does this mean?

This means the older chapters, and all of prelude will be receiving revamped art and even some new art, like featured above!

Don't worry! The overall story will not be changed, but I will adjust some storytelling and plot points that come up. Especially in prelude, but also in Siren Song.

When I started this series, I was literally just winging it. Now I have a solid grip on Cule as a character, as well as where I want the plot to go.

So! I will be making some adjustments! This means more content and a more consistent story narrative! Most of the plot will stay the same like I said, but some aspects will change.

I hope y'all get excited for the new revamp!

Hey everyone. I'm alive.

Just been taking a break from social media, mostly for my mental health.

My partner isn't out of the woods yet like we thought he was, he's doing chemotherapy again as we speak...and probably will for the next few months.

Things are starting to improve again, but I'm wary. I know that the bottom could fall out at any moment...

It's not stable yet, and neither am I.

But hopefully, we're getting there.

I FORGOR TO ELABORATE

okay so

This version of Cule is very different from the one you all know.

So, essentially, when they were young (so like, maybe about a month or so after the island disappeared and before they forgot their real name) they were starving in the woods, alone. Cold and hungry, on the verge of death. Their cloak, imbued with wishcraft, was keeping them alive but it was by a very thin thread.

In desperation, they made a wish that they 'could eat something...anything...'

This wish reacted with their cloak, and morphed their body into a beast that could consume anything. Hunger incarnate, it never feels full...

This wish split them in two.

Amani, the human spirit. (They/ Them) Able to speak and interact with the beast regularly, and feels everything they do. They can be projected and seen by others through light craft if the beast wants. (Essentially looks like normal cule, but if they had grown naturally and weren't obsessed with finding the island)

And Cule, the beast. (They/It) Despite initially merely being the vessel that was twisted and morphed, it gained a mind and personality of it's own. Able to think, able to grieve, and able to love. Their hunger consumes them and leads them to act on pure primal instinct, leading to disaster and even tragedy. When they are aware of their actions however, they are docile and non confrontational.

Amani and Cule are essentially best friends. All they have is each other...their only companion.

They both live in a cave in the forests outside of a town. This town, noticing some of their livestock has gone missing, hunts them down and realizes they're a 'monster'. The hunters sent to kill them pursue the beast all the way back to it's cave, where in a hunger filled rampage, Cule eats one of them.

This leads to both of them gaining a lot of psychological damage and intense hatred, dehumanizing themselves and seeing themselves as lesser than. Despite Cule's best efforts, they can't escape their instincts. And Amani is forced to watch, and experience everything. Taste, smell, touch, everything.

The party, after saving Vaugarde and now traveling with Petrónille, are sought out by residents of the town to slay the beast that plagues their forests and has killed their people. (It was one dude)

They get more than they bargained for with this request...

The love I feel for him is indescribable, truly we are bound by soul and heart. I will be forever his, as he is forever mine. My soulmate, the bluebird to my starlight...I will always love him.

I've never felt such comfort and love then when I am with him...I have not felt much love in my lifetime. He saved me, and I will return that act. He is my everything...and will be forevermore.

Drawing a cookie a day to try and get back into art! First up, Star Coral cookie! Absolutely love her aesthetic and love using her in the arena.

I've been like, playing cookie run kingdom every day for like four months now. I have a guild (Crumbling Frost) on the hollyberry server if anyone needs a boost! It's very therapeutic to me in all honesty.

Percival was taken to the vet and given antibiotics as well as flea drops...we go again in a week to give him vaccines as well as maybe neutering him.

He's healthy! But, we did have a bit of a problem with his tummy getting sore and hurting...poor thing was in so much pain...

He's a bit better now but I'm still wary.

Keeping a close eye on him, and pretty exhausted...but raising a baby just be like that...<3
