Good News of 2017
A little rattled by the majority’s dissatisfaction with the current year, and always hoping the next will be better.
What good has happened to you in 2017?
Found peace ✌️
spent all year with the love of my life, learned more, 75% done with nursing school. 2017 was a pretty good year for me all around.
I met the love of my life, graduated with my Masters with a 4.0, and got hired as a fourth grade teacher before graduation. I also received the highest score on the teacher certification exam of anyone from my college. I have found myself at an amazing elementary school with the best group of children for my first year teaching. 2017, with its downs, has actually been a pretty great year for me.
Thank you for this post, I needed the positive perspective.

self discovery, self acceptance, self love, trust in self and divine timing.
2017 has been amazing. Lots of manifesting. really learned what love is. So much reflection. Acknowledged my need for change. Growth. My mindset has become so much more positive. Learned to speak my truth. Damn, liberation overall. grateful for it.
Lots of growth personally and professionally. Confidence building. Improved mental and emotional health. Achieving goals.
The Love of My Life. Loved Hard. Self Discovery. Relearning How to Love My Soul. Money Making. Life Caring.Womb Healing. Manifesting Maternally. Living Independently. Yoga. Doulaing. Saying No. Feeling Yes. Even Longer Braids. Feeling Beautiful.
I stopped putting men before myself. I ended three toxic relationships w people who meant everything to me. I sugared nonstop and accomplished my financial goals. I started a new relationship w a boy I care a lot about.
I got the job of my dreams and moved into the great smoky mountains national park. I reconnected with professors I thought hated me. fell in love with someone, fell out of love with them, and now am starting to fall back in love with myself.
Moved in with my amazing boyfriend. Started grad school. Reached three years of sobriety!
Met some amazing people. Did 2 awesome poetry projects. Travelled abroad a little and home a lot. Lived alone for the most part of it. Had my first pet. Made new friends. Fell in and out of love. Learned a lot about who I am and what I want in life. Became freer. Learned that my friends are loyal and loving to the core.
It was a beautiful year and I’m happy it happened. 2018 is gonna be AWESOME.
I turned the big thirty and perty, being grateful for the little things In life, amazing growth in my union with my mate. Financial blessings throughout the year(give thanks for more and more financial blessing forevermore), following the spiritual path that resides with my heart, healing from negative experiences and thoughts. AKUNA MATATA 2018
I got a job in my field, have a savings fund!!!, became debt free, made meaningful friendships, understood where I stand with the love of my life, and healed from my regretful past!!!! So grateful for all the events this year held and excited for what 2018 holds!!
I’m still trying to find my way in this life. But I know it’ll take me some time to get to the top of this mountain. I won’t let it defeat me. My time will come to me. But I’m very happy for everyone else though

The whole Pepsi commercial thing reminded me that people always mis-remember the famous flower in the gun barrel photo as being a young woman. It wasn’t. The photo, taken by Bernie Boston, is of George Edgerly Harris III better known by his stage name Hibiscus. He was a member of the San Francisco based radical gay liberation theater troupe the Cockettes. He died of AIDS in 1982 at the time AIDS was still referred to by the name GRID which stood for Gay Related Immuno-Deficiency. The photo was taken at a protest at the Pentagon.
I had no idea who he was, thank you.
This is one example of the Mandela Effect phenomena, where an iconic moment is reenacted with a hippy woman so many times that people think that’s the story and thus another gay man is written out of history. Thanks for the photo.
Powerful New Video Tackles Racial Bias To Remind Kids Their ‘Black Is Beautiful’
A new video released Monday titled “The Talk” compellingly tackles the impact of racial bias through the lens of black parents in America.
This video accurately displays what it is like to be black in America. It shows the conversations all black parents have with their kids to keep them safe and to encourage them to fight the racist society. And it’s heartbreaking that parents need to remind their kids that their “Black is beautiful”.Society needs to change and time has come to talk about this.
