This is my most favourite thing Jeff Winger has ever said tbh

Ben [12.17am]: I need to tell you something.
Dinah [12.20am]: Please, kill the suspense and tell me. I'm dying to know what's on your mind.
“ instrumental... ”
DATE: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd, 2020. TIME: 7:30 PM. LOCATION: HILL OF GRACE WINERY. OPEN: MARS BENDER.
Dinah wasn't one to meddle in her sibling's personal lives, contrary to popular belief. In fact, she was happy with keeping their private lives exactly that. Private. Of course, there were a handful of instances where her younger siblings had come to her for advice or to just have someone to listen to. Most recently, that was Parker informing Dinah about her miscarriage. Knowing her siblings like the back of her hand, Dinah had noticed a shift in Parker a long time ago, but she also wasn't one to push or ask questions until that person let her know specifics. Since then, Dinah has been keeping a close eye on Parker, whether the singer knows it or not Dinah doesn't care.
Having invited Mars Bender to her establishment at the winery, the two are in her office. Dinah is seated somewhat casually in her chair behind her desk. This wasn't a business meeting, but it was just as important. Being one of Parker's closest friends, Dinah wanted to know how she was through his eyes, espically since he was a counselor , Dinah replied on his input. Also being one of the long lasting Belmont friendships, Dinah saw it fit to inquire about how Marshall was doing these days, as well. He cares for Parker, therefore, it made sense that Dinah would give him gratitude and reassurance that he was part of this family.
In a lapse of silence, her dry tone cuts through the air to capture the male's attention. “- --- Has anyone ever taught you to iron your shirts?” Her gaze points out the wrinkles in Mars' fabrics. Her features are neutral, though her energy exudes disappointment. Dinah was the type of person who expected a lot from herself, and as such, others should shrive to be the same way as well. With a final sigh, Dinah sits up straight in her spot before onyx hues meet hazel hues. “In your personal opinion, how had Parker been?” Dinah doens't need to put the emphansis on who she was talking about. There was only one person close enough that Mars and Dinah shared in common, and that person was Parker. "... And, how have you been?" The question is not necessarily forced, but it does come off as forced for the sake of conversation, which were her enemies.
ROSE lockett.
STARTER FOR: ANYONE / @catalinastarter LOCATION: Le Rouge, Ventura.
Rose glares into her watered-down drink. You’d think it’s personally offended her or something when really she found any reason to make a problem out of anything she could. For what reason? Even she wasn’t sure. Attention, maybe. A cry for help into some endless void where nothing and nobody really cared for what she did and didn’t do. She takes a generous sip regardless, a part of her loving the drama behind simply being served something disgusting in order to fuel her need for dramatics and the vague bliss that came along with self-sabotage.
Brown eyes linger on the stain of lipstick left behind on her glass before Rose’s gaze averts to a quiet couple sitting together just a couple feet away. “She’s having an affair,” Rose says to the person beside her, or to anyone who was willing to listen. “I caught her near my house on the beach with a considerably better-looking guy. No offense to this man, I’m sure he’s nice enough.” Her tone remains nonchalant but underneath it all, she’s obsessed with even the smallest of details. “It’s interesting to see what people do in love. It’s like a game.” Another sip of her drink is taken, “Ugh, this is disgusting.” She turns away from the doomed couple, “What did you order?”
This was rich. Real fucking rich. Once upon a time, Le Rouge didn’t want to sell Hill of Grace wine in their oh-so-fine establishment. She’s heard so many excuses from the owner that Hill of Grace didn’t fit the aesthetics of their company which gave Dinah a nice chuckle since Le Rogue's aesthetics consisted of cheap Italian moulds and wannabe influencers, Hill of Grace would be doing them a favour selling their wine to them and creating a partnership. In other words from the owner, though, Dinah’s wine was too localand not from fucking France to fit their overly priced bill. Dinah wasn’t the sale’s manager anymore, but she took this into her own hands and even went as far as to negotiate incredible deals for Le Rouge in order to get her wine in the bar because in all regards, she was still a fair person. A little vindictive, but fair. Le Rouge still vinos declined her. Now they were coming back, groveling to have Dinah’s in their place after Hill of Grace received, unsurprisingly, a gold and a silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards last year. At firsth, Dinah wasn't going to tell them to take their apologies and shove it up their asses, but now, she was currently signing the business papers at the bar, tripling the price of the contract as a friendly ‘fuck you’.
‘ She’s having an affair... ’
Dinah doesn’t stop filling out the forms or pay attention to the person next to her who beings talking out of the blue, because in all honesty, Dinah doesn’t think that she’s being spoken to seeing as she’s clearly busy with more important things than talking about someone she doesn’t know having an affair. Though, as the person continues, Dinah sets down her personalized golden Mont Blanc ballpoint pen and sits up slowly. A sigh through her nose gives off the air of annoyance. “You should have your own talk show, if you’re so invested in other’s lives.” Dinah looks over to the woman, features placid. Then, her eyes flicker over towards the couple in the corner and regards them silently, only entertraining the idea and the woman for a split moment, she says, "It's most likey his best friend or someone she works with. And he maybe nice, but that doesn't get anyone very far." With that, her firm gaze finds the strangers again. “Lemon water,” She tells the other shortly, “I’m not here to drink, I’m here on business... Yourself?”
DATE: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd, 2020. TIME: 10:10 AM. LOCATION: RORY'S HOUSE / THE BRUNCH CLUB. OPEN: RORY HIRSCH.
Pulling up anywhere unannounced was a rare occurance for Dinah Belmont. She was the type of person who relished in the thought of people not necessarily awaiting her arrival with anticipation and excitement, but to make them sweat. Dinah was well aware of the aura she exudes; it's chilled and ridgid. It made people nervous, kept them on edge. She wouldn't change the ambience she holds even if she could. Now, when she showed up somewhere without letting anyone one know, it gave her a certain power to have control. It also gave her the element of surprise because she wanted to see how Rory Hirsch was living. How much of a mess was his place? Where there stakes of dishes in the sink? Has he been wearing the same sweatpants for the last week?
Dinah didn't knock when she came up to the door of her cousins apartment. Instead, she walked in as if it were her own house. "Rory Hirsch!" The director barks, voice echoing through the front as she wipes the bottoms of her bloody shoes against the mat. Rory and Dinah's connection was an odd one. Dinah found her cousin incredibly foolhardy and childish, but that didn't mean he didn't mean well. She definitely thought that he could always try a little harder in that department, but would family be without being stubborn in their ways?
Entering the living room, she finds her cousin sitting on the couch. "Get dressed. I'm taking you out for brunch," Dinah tells him strictly without giving any room for negotiation. Pulling out her phone as a text comes through to answer said message. "Not even God knows the last time you ate properly." She comments dryly while slipping her cell back into her jacket pocket, giving the male a sternly pointed look. Dinah also knew that she hasn't seen her cousin in sometime because he found it more comforable in the confines of his own home because of the choice's his mother was making with a television project. It was obvious that the last thing Rory wanted was to have multiple cameras in his face at all times. He couldn't stay in his apartment forever though and that's why Dinah was here. "Get your ass in gear. I only have two and a half hours, lets go."
