... Street Photography, as one rather pompous documentary type once said to me, is more like a sport than an art form. To which, my question to him was why he thought that art was something more exalted than sport. He had no answer to that. However, I absolutely love shooting in the streets and don't care to give the experience any labels. However, there is a distinct difference between photographing life on Indian streets from those of the West and Europe, in particular. But that's because how life plays out, in public, in these two different societies is different. And to 'document' that is the challenge. And I love it.
