I don’t see why people have such an issue with what others might want for characters? You don’t have to share the same opinion as others, but I don’t see why it’s being made into such an issue others want. I actually don’t care if Robert has a child or not, I’ve just said I find it baffling and unbelievable Seb’s the only child he’s ever had.

As for it being used to make Robert look like a terrible person. The show have literally done that themselves constantly over the years, no matter what they do with Robert they always make him the bad guy so I honestly don’t see the difference. The only time I think he genuinely didn’t come across as the and guy was during the abuse storyline, but he’s always the bad one in situations no matter so it’s really not that different to any other day is it..

I was watching a tiktok live of Lisa and Bradley last night and they said they were filming way in advance, and that they’re currently filming for August so they must be filming Jimmy’s death and possibly Dawn’s if their killing her off

Yeah, they usually film about 6-8 weeks in advance but they could of already filmed it. Vinny’s also going so I’m expecting his exit to be around summer time

It is possible, but the only girls I think we know about that he was ever with was Holly and Vic I can’t remember if any other girls were mentioned 😂 But it is possible he could have a child after all he is a Dingle having babies as teens is a right of passage for them

Why is it all being downplayed? He threatened them. Slashed Robert with a sword and Aaron ended up against the stairs? Them saying 'lure' is so distasteful. He was purely there to be controlling and coercive. It's disgusting how the journalists are writing about him.

The way it’s totally being ignored that his control and manipulation started way before Robert even got released doesn’t sit right with me, Robron’s relationship literally can’t be blamed for it when he was doing it when they weren’t even together or in contact 🙃 Totally ignoring he stabbed himself to stop Robert appealing his sentence, told him he was dying before even knowing robron were back together.

It’s bad you want to totally erase and laugh off his abuse towards his own husband and the terror he put him, Aaron and Liam through. But to have him kidnap his own son who’s literally not done anything wrong to him and is already quite an anxious person anyway is no way this “funny arc” it’s supposed to be. Kev never wanted to know his son till he found out who he has, he didn’t tell him even when he found out and now he’s kidnapping him and also going to cause problems in his sons relationship because his boyfriend sees through someone like Kev because of his own past and doesn’t want the same for his boyfriend, but that relationship gets sacrificed so Kev can get away with yet another crime and build a relationship with his son 🙃. Don’t like him for what he did last year, buts it’s very hard to like a character who constantly commits crimes and gets away with it and other characters are being sacrificed for him and condemned for stuff way less serious then what he’s done.

One thing I’m so confused about is how Ross looked like the one who was going to blow the baby secret, with the way he was looking and holding leyla and then hes just disappeared from the storyline to sleep with laurel and manpreet?😂😂 like what??

Another reason you can tell this storyline has been done to redeem Charity and let her off all consequences because Ross’ absence is weird, but also out of everyone she tells about the blackmail it’s Chas and not the other person’s will affect if it all came out 😂

I'm sorry but I'd absolutely hate it if they made this girl a Robert Sugden love child just because of how lazy and uninspired it would be. It was bad enough when they had an absolute nothing character like Rebecca be the mother of Seb after the ONS fiasco. If Robert was to have a daughter, it should be with Aaron and she should be THEIRS like they always wanted.

I’m not disagreeing with that, but the chances of them actually having their own child together whether it be through surrogacy or adoption is very slim. They’ve both got serious criminal records so no adoption agency would touch them, Natalie was already hesitant to be theirs finding out about Aaron and Liv’s, add Robert’s onto that and how on/off their relationship has been it would be a miracle if someone stranger wants to be their surrogate. Soaps also aren’t known for giving same sex couples children through a positive way either, they either have to kill the mother off or it’s a cheat baby. And soaps don’t exactly portray surrogacy in a good light either, they always ruin the storylines so the chances of them actually getting their own child is very slim..

Tbh I just don't get why people who claim to like Robert as a character would want him to have a child he had nothing to do with. We already have him canonically a dead beat dad because they're ignoring Seb. Why add another child he wasn't there for ?

It’s just very unbelievable sleeping around was a massive part of his character and he’s reached 40 with one kid and could only get Rebecca pregnant like it’s very unrealistic a character who was portrayed like Robert was only ended up with one kid because no character that is similar to him only has one child…

Also, it would be totally different. Chances are, Robert might not know if he has a kid out there like Cain didn’t about Nate, least with Seb he didn’t really have a choice not to be part of his life because he was in prison and Kev’s shenanigans kinda put a stop to them seeing him months ago. It’s weird it’s not been mentioned again yes, but tbf they’ve not exactly had chance to sit thinking about getting Seb back when it’s been one drama after the other and bringing Seb back in the middle of it wouldn’t make sense when the whole reason they put a stop to the meeting in the first place was because of what was going on.

I don't think Robert will be on screen when she arrives so it would be weird if she was his daughter. The press release definitely hints about her being involved in the Charity/Sarah baby drama. I think she will be involved in that initially before the truth about her being a Sugden is revealed and by then Robert should be on screen.

My thing with Robert having a long lost adult child is that if they are going to do it at least wait a few years until Robron are married and have got Seb and maybe their own child first. Otherwise to do it so early when they don't even see Seb would be weird. There are so many other stories to tell before they need to pull out the long lost child card.

It wouldn’t be weird, because her connection probably won’t be revealed straight away anyway, but it does sound like she’ll be involved in the Charity situation since she’s the only one with a traumatic situation and there’s talks about where her loyalties lie, but also seems strange because no other people in the Sugden’s have had relationships with Andy’s kids besides Diane. Vic and Robert have never been that close to her, so her thinking she has loyalty to Sarah just because they share the same surname seems abit weird because if I’m not mistaken (if she is Joe’s) Andy wasn’t even around when he was so they never had a relationship I don’t think many Sugden’s were when Andy arrived so why anyone would think they owe Sarah loyalty outside the actual Sugden’s who know her seems strange to me 😂

I really think if they were bringing Serena in to play Robert's daughter they would have gone for a younger actress, someone more like Izzy who looked younger than they actually are in real life. Absolutely no offense to the actress playing Serena but there is no way she could pass for 20-25 imo maybe late 20's but her and Ryan on screen together could pass as the same age, given that Ryan looks younger than he actually is in real life. This is no shade to her I'm 30 myself and there is absolutely no way I could pass for 20/25 either!. I guess we wont have long to wait to find out though.

Plenty of people in their late 20’s play teenagers in soaps, so her being 30 playing someone younger isn’t anything new or surprising. I don’t think she is Robert’s, I just think there’d be more drama there because bringing in a random other relative seems like a strange choice not as if she could blame Robert for why she’s not been around the family. But also, a photo doesn’t do justice for some people I’ve never seen her in anything so I can’t comment but some people look a lot younger than photos. When you look at past people who’ve come in it made sense. Like Joe did, he blamed Charity for his Dad’s death so the drama came from that and it made sense, same with Caleb. Cain stopped him years ago being part of the family, same with Nate he didn’t know Cain didn’t know he existed but because he thought he did he wanted revenge, and with Lewis he had a sibling in the village and also a way for him to find out about Emma’s death. Serena coming in without any siblings in the village, no parents, and just a random like cousin I don’t see where the drama could lie there.

Emmerdale have done too many suprise children reveals, K*v and Lewis, Cain and Nate. I can't imagine them doing another one this soon but it is Laura Shaw so we can't rule anything out, it'd just be a bit boring if she came in and was Robert's.

Least there’d be drama there though. Having her come in as a dead characters daughter wouldn’t do much, not as if she has siblings there like Lewis did and the only family she has there is Robert and what drama could she possibly have with him not as if he could be blamed if she’s grew up without her Dad. I mean I don’t think she is his, but least there’d be a story there 🥹

If I had to place bets I’d bet she’s Robert’s daughter. I just don’t see her being Joe sugdens. Most of the audience won’t have a clue who he is. There’s far more drama for her to be Robert’s.

It does say her playing age is 20-25 and I think Joe died like 30 years ago? So she couldn’t be his, but also what comes from her being his when he’s dead and gone and we didn’t know her existent? Least with Lewis he had Ross finding out his existence and revisiting the Emma storyline

I saw a post on twt that upset me so much like I almost teared up because it feels like I am being gaslight and mocked by the show for something terrible that happens in real life and we experience almost on the daily like I had close friends I witnessed go through it and it broke me. Someone asked the soap journalist about the abuse on Rob and they replied that it was framed as a joke from the start and that just hurt my heart so much. If it was a joke then write the joke make him funny silly and quirky but seeing the list of things he’s done and to say it was a joke all the time I have no words I don’t even feel like watching anymore. Because if that was a joke then what else is serious or meaningful. I honestly thought they will circle back to it and call it out but I don’t think they ever will now. Rob isn’t even my top favorite I enjoy him and Robron as a couple that is part of the show (sorry coira are my fav) and this really just hurt me I can’t imagine how it is for those who love him more and then even worse for the real victims. Soz going off in your blog.

That is honestly so disgusting, as someone who’s literally been a victim abuse it’s heartbreaking to see how they’ve handled it and how much of a joke they’ve made out of it. Because when it was a straight relationship, they took that seriously and there was nothing funny about it. It’s heartbreaking for any abuse victim to watch someone they’ve been through made a joke out of, but even more for male victims when so many of them don’t come forward as it is because it’s made fun of and people don’t take it serious.

So Serena’s coming 23rd June which means we’ll get spoilers on Monday/Tuesday 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Hope they don’t leave it a mystery how she’s connected to the Sugden’s and leave us hanging
