If I am a virgin who does not watch porn or lust after someone, is it okay to masturbate for stress relieving purposes? Or does it still count as a sin even without lust being involved?
i am praying Psalm 63 over your life
v1-5
You, God, are my God,   earnestly I seek you;I thirst for you,   my whole being longs for you,in a dry and parched land   where there is no water.I have seen you in the sanctuary   and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live,   and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;   with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
This FULLNESS of satisfaction is possible in Christ. you donât need to masturbate to relieve stress.Â
Cast your cares and your anxieties and your stresses on your saviour. He cares. He hears you. He loves you.Â
Love is not self-seeking and selfishness is at the root of masturbation.Â
We all sin, we all fail. I just care about you being satisfied in your Savior. He loves you so much more than you know. He sees you at your worst and still chose to die for you. He knows the stress youâre dealing with, and I want you to bring it to him right now. Just in the depths of you possibly feeling alone or worried about the future, he has you secure in his arms. Submit yourself to him every day, resist temptation to do it. If itâs not love itâs lust, but deeper than that itâs a lack of insecurity as a son or daughter of God. Your identity and your whole being is valued and loved because Jesus created you and then paid for what you lacked to make you whole again.I pray that his gospel dwells so deeply in your heart, that you have to love him with your whole life and love people because thatâs all that really matters at the end of the day.Â
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Cor 13:4-8
Much loveÂ
