This small concrete circle surrounded by a larger circle of bricks bricks is the location of a mysterious acoustic phenomenon. If you stand in the middle of the circle and make a noise, it will  echo back to you several times louder, but those standing outside the circle are not able to hear it at all.

There is no clear consensus as to why this happens.
