THE TALL MAN lays flat-faced on the concrete, not a passerby giving him a second glance. it’s almost as if he’s BLENDED IN with the city’s surroundings; he’s nothing, just another one of those kinds. truth is, he’d been MUGGED. pockets empty save for his CIGARETTES. jude doesn’t make a sound, he doesn’t groan. instead, the next person he hears walk passed him, he GRABS THEIR LEG with weak fingers, a silent plea. help.
