Time for a little introduction post ✨ (after like, 3 years or more, lol).

Pronouns: no pronouns

Pan, demi, aromantic and agender.

Kinda figured out the gender thing. Now the next question is: what is romance??? The more I think about it, the more confusing it gets.

I like anime and manga, video games, reading and fantasy & sci-fi stuff, going to concerts/festivals, travelling and learning about different cultures. My favourite colours are black and purple. I basically drink tea all day, every day.

This blog tries to be as inclusive as possible. This blog is inclusive of BiPocs, people with disabilities and people of all religions. Everyone is welcome here. There is no place for exclusionists, faschists, racists, terfs, antisemitists, islamophobia and people with views who exclude or invalidate others. In general, be nice to each other and respect each other. People of all different flavours of queer (no matter if you are out, questioning, in the closet or choose to not come out) and people who want to learn more about LGBTQIA+ topics are welcome here.

Oh you're aroace? You should watch Blimpus and Jumbie it has an aroace character! Their name is Splonky and they're introduced in season 3 they're in six episodes, have a total 25 minutes of screentime and an average of three lines per episode. They're absolutely groundbreaking aroace representation, the show's creator confirmed it on twitter when he posted a doodle of Splonky holding an asexual flag. Oh that's not your cup of tea? Here's a list of aroace books they're all about high schoolers discovering that they're aroace after trying to find a significant other and it ends with the message that you can just make up for being a terminal virgin by third wheeling the gay couple you're friends with

You go into the splonky blimpus and jumbie tag and there's like a handful of cute fanart and appreciation for Splonky, and then every other post is people drawing Splonky making out with a variety of other characters from the show and the rest is people writing mini-essays yelling at people who ship Splonky with anyone as if that killed their grandma

I think one of the reasons drag kings aren’t as popular as drag queens, aside from the fact that straight women don’t like us, is that people are uncomfortable acknowledging masculinity as a performance. Like we as a society know that femininity is a performance, with its own costumes and rules. Masculinity is also a performance, and nothing makes that more clear than someone making an exaggeration of it

Not gonna show this person’s url but my god I’m so sorry that you’ve clearly only been to one drag king show in your life

I could easily say that most drag queens are just the same type of boring gowns and big hair and big tits doing the same boring top 40 pop numbers. It’s not true though, that just happens to be the type of queen that straight girls like the most and ergo gets the most mainstream rep

Never mind that not all kings are women (many kings are non-binary or transmasc), but idk how you could look at the plethora of cool and interesting drag kings online and in the world at large and decide that they don’t count because you haven’t personally seen them enough

Moreover, looks are truly only half the battle in drag imo. When it comes to performance, you’ve got a wonderful range of kings who can do dance, music, comedy, performance art, political commentary, and pretty much anything else you can imagine

Trust me, 99% of the time kings have to work extra hard at performing to “prove” we belong in drag spaces, and we can rarely get away with just putting on a suit.

Your experiences are not universal. And they confuse me. I mean, take Landon Cider, one of the most famous drag kings and the first king to win the drag competition show Dragula.

I (a queer person) am on my way home. I listen to a queer band. I see a queer couple kissing. There is an advertisment for the queer streaming library of a public broadcasting company. When I leave the train to change trains, I see a person with a bag that has a rsinbow strap. On my connecting train, there is a person with rainbow coloured fingernails opposite me. I‘ll meet a friend today who is also queer. Life is beautiful. Queerness is everywhere.

Liebe Queers, liebe Allys, bitte zeichnet diese Petition mit und rebloggt. Danke. Hier ein Zitat aus dem Petitionstext: "Der queerfeindliche Anschlag auf den Berliner CSD erschüttert uns. Gleichzeitig war er leider nicht überraschend: Seit Jahren nehmen Hass, Hetze und Angriffe gegen LGBTQIA* massiv zu. Queerfeindliche Hasskriminalität hat sich seit 2010 nahezu verzehnfacht. Rechtsextreme Anti-CSD-Aufmärsche sind Normalität geworden.

Was ich halt auch sehr eklig finde, ist dieses Framing in der Debatte und in den Medien als „Fest“ oder „Kulturevent“ or whatever und besonders Vergleiche mit Angriffen auf Weihnachtsmärkte. Der CSD Berlin ist nicht das Hurricane, und der CSD ist sure as fuck kein Weihnachtsmarkt oder Food-Truck-Festival oder Wochen-, Kunst- und Handwerksmarkt oder etwas in der Art. Hier wurde kein Festival, sondern ein PROTEST angegriffen, und dieser Protest richtet sich unter anderem gegen die momentane Regierung und ihre politischen Positionen. Hat irgendwer bitte mal genug politische Integrität, das anzuerkennen? Könnte irgendwer in Medien und Politik, außer den Organisator*innen und Menschen aus der Community selbst, bitte Worte wie „Protest“ oder „politische Versammlung“ oder „Menschenrechtsbewegung“ verwenden?
