âBelievable, Malfoy,â she bit back, ignoring the slight pain in her chest when she called him by his last name instead. âYouâve gotten ugly over the summer, with that look you wear and the sunken cheeks.â It was a low dig, Pansy knew, but she also knew that she would rather deal with an angry Draco Malfoy than one who had drowned in her sorrows ( because she couldnât save him that way ). âIf you wanted to be alone, you can be. The question is, is that what you want?â
Draco was tired. Fighting with Pansy wasnât something he wanted to do. But what he wanted didnât matter. Heâd signed over his right to decide for himself when heâd gotten the Dark Mark. There was a hefty price that came with the sworn loyalty, but it was one that he and he alone would pay. He turned up his lip haughtily. âWhat I want, Parkinson   â He spat out her last name, the use of it sitting wrong on his tongue. But he had a heat in him now that kept him going, sparked by Pansyâs persistence. âIs for you to stop being a bloody thorn in my side. Donât you have someone else that you can be hovering over? If I donât appeal to you anymore,â He alluded to her ugly blow, âThen surely you can find someone else to bother.â
