Though he was glad that the other was going along with his suggestion, he hadn’t been expecting the sudden hug. He patted the boy’s shoulder with a small smile of his own, feeling relieved when the other let him go to latch onto his arm instead. Then he glanced around, spotting a restaurant nearby and leading the stranger inside before finding them a table. He took the seat facing the entrance to watch and see if the stalker followed them inside.
“…I hope I haven’t frightened you,” he told the boy, his expression apologetic as he glanced between the other and the door. “I would suggest not sleeping at home tonight.” Whether the one following the boy already knew where he lived or not, it would be safer to stay somewhere else. “I could walk with you to a hotel, if you would feel safe there.”
he laughs as if the other had just told him something funny to disguise the shaking of his head , speaking in hushed tones. “ it’s alright , i appreciate it. “ then the two walk inside & fay releases his arm to take a seat.
“ good thing i’m usually not in my apartment anyway. is it too much if i ask you to accompany me though ? i don’t like being alone. “

“ huh ? “ brows raise when the clothing’s pushed onto him , instinctively leaning forward & holding around it clumsily so it doesn’t slip from his arms. he takes a moment to find the shoulders part & holds it out in order to see the whole coat.
although it definitely wasn’t something he’d choose for himself , the material feels nice against his skin; soft. & not to mention , it’s an unusual gesture for fay so he’s rather speechless but that doesn’t stop him from smiling widely & giving him a soft thank you.

that’s certainly one way to approach. the unexpected statement earns a giggle from him; a shake of his head denying it as a finger’s brought up to lightly scratch the corner of his lips. “ it would’ve been a boyfriend if anything. “ fay admits , elbows planted on the table with chin resting on laced fingers as he turns towards the male.

while money’s hardly a problem , he’s uncertain of what to think of it overall; purchasing it means he has to be careful with it. albeit loving the delicate look of glass , he was concerned whether it’d survive his apartment. whether it be himself being a hazard or someone else― anything in glass would end up shattered sooner rather than later.
