Bio

There is a lot about Rapunzel’s past  that she isn’t aware of. She doesn’t know that her mother, the woman who raised her, stole her from her true parents. She doesn’t know that every year on her birthday there is a memorial for her in the town she was born, one where they release lanterns into the sky. She doesn’t know about her considerable inheritance or her father’s tears or how strong her true mother is. All she thinks she knows is that her father was a muggle who left her family and that she is in some way too sick for long distance travel. She believes the lies her so called mother tells her because her nature is to see the good long before she can see the bad. She trusts almost immediately and has so much love and optimism it’s practically grotesque.

Despite graduating from Hogwarts with exemplary grades, especially in herbology, potions, care of magical creatures and charms, she’s been forbidden from going after her dream to become a healer. She’s had an extraordinary talent for it, ever since she was a little girl, healing was how her magic first presented itself, now she can perform it wandlessly. Her mother tells her she’s too fragile, that she needs her to help her run her flower shop. Rapunzel has been told that she needs to make sacrifices for her family and she’s more than happy to do it but she longs for more, when she looks up at the sun or the stars she can feel something calling out to her. She wants to follow that voice to freedom and adventure but will she be a horrible person if she does and after all this time being hidden away from the horrors of the world, is she even ready to face them?
