Disney World in Two Weeks...

Hi everyone! So in two weeks, I will be back in my home (WDW, obviously) for the first time in forever 2.5 years. I will be staying at the Beach Club from the 23rd to the 31st. If any of you followers will be in WDW around the same time, send me a message! I’d love to meet some of you :)

Norway Pavilion

Experience the Spirit of Norway in World Showcase's beautiful Norway Pavilion. 

Touring Tips! 

Norway is located between Mexico and China.

The pavilion is made to look like Norwegian village with a stave church as its landmark, with the buildings mostly interconnected.

The main attraction is Maelstrom, a boat ride that takes you through the Spirit of Norway.  Check out this link for a profile on this ride. The stave church also has an exhibit on Vikings. 

New this year is a Frozen meet & greet where you can meet Anna and Elsa. 

The one shopping option is The Puffin's Roost which sells all sorts of Norwegian merchandise featuring a lot of troll and viking options. 

There are two dining options in Norway. Restaurant Akershus is the table service restaurant that also offers "Princess Storybook Dining." The other is the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe, which has delicious, unusual pastries and other food.

Fun Facts

It is rumored that Maelstrom will soon be replaced with a Frozen attraction. 

Norway is one of the two pavilions that is not illuminated during Illuminations because it is across from Morocco who does not light up because of religious reasons.

La Cantina de San Ángel

Enjoy some classic Mexican cuisine while lounging by the serene Epcot lake. 

General Tips/ Info 

This restaurant is located right outside the México Pavilion in Epcot. 

La Cantina was tied to La Hacienda de San Ángel 3 years ago so it's all together now. 

The restaurant is mostly outdoors with a few tables under a little ceiling area. If you would like an indoor experience, this is not your place. 

Because it's outdoors, be ready to eat with pigeons, heat (in the summer) and cold (in the winter). My family and I were eating here 2 years ago on the second day of our trip and a pigeon pooped my sister's forehead. Because of that, we barely had to wait in queues because of the luck that comes with bird droppings (ahaha). 

The food is typical Mexican food: margaritas, tacos, enchiladas, loaded nachos. There are some American dishes in the menu as well. 

It is rated $ in the price range and some dining plans are accepted. 

The margaritas and nachos are great!

This place is amazing! My family loves it, it's a great place to watch the sunset and the view of lake is beautiful. 

(We were sitting in the table next to the trash can when my sister got pooped on ahahah)

Is the transportation to Magic Kingdom odd at the cabins at Fort Wilderness? You know, with it being so big?

Well actually, there are no buses to MK from Fort Wilderness. There are buses that run within the site, and buses that go to the other three parks and the water parks and Downtown Disney. The only way to get to MK is to take the boat, which is fun, but can be a little slow and inconvenient at times.

The easiest thing to do would be to take a bus to Saratoga Springs Resort from MK. Then, you can either walk or take a boat (and even a bus, I think) to Downtown Disney.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

One of the newest restaurants in Walt Disney World, the Be Our Guest restaurant is an enchanted homage to Beauty and the Beast in New Fantasyland.

General Tips/Info

This restaurant is unique in that it acts as a quick service for lunch, and a table service for dinner. 

Reservations are a must- for the quick service, lines can be hours long so be prepared.

DDP and Tables in Wonderland are accepted here. 

The cuisine is, of course, French. 

There are three dining room options: The West Wing, Belle’s Library, or the Ballroom. 

Hidden Mickeys 

As you walk down the walkway to the entrance, look for a small stone wall next to the check-in station. Mickey is swirled in the rocks.

Look for Mickey in a painting of Mrs. Potts and Chip in the Rose Gallery. 

In the West Wing, look for a tattered drape with red designs. There is a (difficult to spot!) Mickey-shaped hole.

Look around the suit of armor in the quick service area for Mickey.
