High school AU flight deities have a beach day
Earthshaker: Falls asleep, gets buried under the sand because others decide to see just how deep this guy sleeps. It's amazing because they literally can pack him in tight under the sand and he doesn't freaking stir.
Flamecaller: Walks on the hot sand in bare feet. Slightly unnerves everyone else with this ability. Keeps loudly wishing they were at a volcanic beach and not a sandy one. Wrecks everyone's shit at beach volleyball.
Arcanist: Fascinated by literally everything. Tries to dig after crabs. Tries to open a mollusk. Touches barnacles. Handles a sea urchin. Probably ends up in the hospital from touching pointy sea life.
Gladekeeper: Prepared for the day by making sushi! Also brought petrified, salted seaweed. How festive! Probably kicks a mooching seagull. Also probably tries to kick Plaguebringer for "ruining" the food she worked so hard to make.
Lightweaver: Thinks it's silly to use an umbrella. Or sunblock. Anyone who does is a WEAK NERD. Probably spends most of the trip sunbathing. But if someone gets out a beachball, she is SO IN to toss it around in the water.
Shadowbinder: Is not made for sun. Wears sunglasses, a huge floppy hat, sits under the umbrella the whole time. Keeps trying to play card games with Icewarden when he's not trying to hide behind his homework. If the umbrella's shade moves at all, she moves with it. Probably replaces the contents of the sunblock bottle with mayonnaise.
Stormcatcher: Doesn't realize he's used mayo for sunblock until he smells like the stuff. Pitches a huge fit. Also gets hella competitive during beach volleyball. Criticizes all the surfers even though he's never surfed a day in his life.
Tidelord: Oh god has he been under the water this entire time.
Plaguebringer: Wheels around the boardwalk and some of the shoreline. Collects the bones she finds picked clean in the sand. Happily creeps everyone out with them by making dead baby jokes. You don't want to know what she did to her sushi.
Windsinger: Wants to go wind sailing but can't afford a rental. Collects sea shells and sea gull feathers. Hell, probably BEFRIENDS the seagulls. Makes sand castles next to sand-Earthshaker. Earthshaker probably joins him after he wakes up.
Icewarden: He doesn't even want to BE here but like three people individually invited him so he was like FINE OKAY WHATEVER. Grumps under the umbrella the whole time. Wears a wet suit. It's too hot. This is terrible. If I get a sun burn I'm gonna hate you all more than I already do. Sweats a little when Shadowbinder needles him while everyone else is preoccupied. WHY DID YOU PEOPLE LEAVE ME ALONE WITH HER
