-Looks around the farm with a curious expression, astonished by the strange surroundings.-
He spotted the girl looking around at his farm. Not reconizing her, he carefully approached her. Maybe she was lost?
"Excuse me, miss, is there something I can help you with?"
"O-Oh!" Turning to find the stranger, her cheeks lit up in mild embarrassment. "I’m sorry for intruding— I’ve never seen a place like this before, so I guess I got a little curious."
Blinking, she offered a polite smile. “Does this land belong to you?”
"Yes, this is my farm. I live here."
As she smiled Henry took a moment to observe the girl. He'd never seen someone like her before. It's like she had come from a fantasy world.
He scratched the back of his neck, not entirely sure how to continue from here. She had come here because of her curiosity and Henry didn't want to shoo her away as he most certainly wouldn't mind some company.
"Do you want me to show you around?" He asked, his hand still resting behind his neck.

To his relief, the other man approached him rather than the other way around. Well, more that their paths seem to cross, but Lloyd wasn’t one to complain. “Ah, Echo Village. That’s the name of this place.” He gave another look around, as though having a name to put on the town made it different somehow. “Beautiful yet quaint town.” After admiring it for a second more, his eyes fell once more on the young man who approached him.
"I apologize," he said, his head giving a slight bow. "My name is Lloyd. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of the inn?" He shrugged one of his shoulders, as though to show the large backpack he had on his back if it wasn’t visible before.
"Hmm..." He said thoughtfully, as he blinked a few times at the man in front of him. Henry glanced around in the quiet and snowy town. The town looked a lot more beautiful in spring according to him, but he kept that for himself. "Yeah, it is, isn't it?"
When the man bowed in front of him, he bit his lip slightly. Politeness wasn't something that a lot of people had shown in the city. It was refreshing to see it a lot more here on the country side. Because of that he was nervous that he might appear rude to the people who are accustomed to it here.
"Henry..." He said quietly, and took a short breath before raising his voice to conversation level. "My name is Henry, it's a pleasure to meet you." He returned a bow to the man.
"Yeah, the in is over there," Henry said as he pointed with his finger to the direction of the inn.
He contemplated over asking the stranger where he came from, considering he'd never seen anyone wear those type of clothes before. Perhaps it would seem a little rude to ask that right off the bat. Hopefully an opportunity to ask that would present itself later.
"If you'd want, I could walk you there," He paused briefly, "I need to stock up on some things so I got time."
OPEN - (Way too early spring) Cleaning
Traveling once more, Lloyd just couldn’t seem to settle down. It was about midweek now, and he seemed to come across a nice looking town. As he entered, he really wasn’t sure the name of this town, but it appeared a bit quaint, and yet it appeared rather large once he was in it. He blew a bit into his gloved hands to warm them a bit. It had been a while since he’d left the last town. Perhaps he’d have to limit the amount of traveling he’d do in winter.
Lloyd walked the streets, wondering where any sort of store or hotel. He might end up staying the night in order to explore the shops in this particular town. He grinned a bit behind his scarf; finding little towns like these was always exciting. He looked around, not really seeing much activity; must be the cold keeping everyone inside. That is, until he saw another man walking along.
Henry watched his breath condense to white smoke as he slowly made his way to town. He had stuffed his hands inside his jacket for warmth as he cursed himself for not buying a warmer jacket. It usually wasn't needed since all the farming work would make his body warm up, but briskly walking to the store simply didn't cut it.
He suddenly stopped when he spotted a figure from a distance. The man looked like a traveling salesman whom had traveled far. When their eyes met the nervous cogs in Henry's head started moving. 'Maybe I should help him out or something?'
He resumed walking and slowed down as their paths joined together.
"Hello," Henry greeted the man. "You looking for something in particular in Echo Village?"

Henry had finally managed to kick out the last of his friends that were at this stage mooching on his livelihood. He appreciated that they had come over for the holidays, since he couldn't leave his farm unattended. But by now they were just testing his patience. He let out a sigh as he saw the mess they had left for him to clean up. 'I don't think I've got enough laundry detergent to wash all these sheets.' So with another heavy sigh, he grabbed his wallet and threw on his jacket before going out to the store. It felt a bit weird stepping outside his farm as he hasn't done so in a long while. Hopefully the village had also been at a standstill and people would still recognize him.

Drunk: Open
"Dude, hell if I know I’m not a chick- It’s just kinda guy code that you don’t peek and don’t ask!" he said with a laugh. He sipped what was left of his drink and slammed it on the table with a satisfying sigh.
"Ugghh it’s such a ghost town in here, where’s all the people ready to party?" He slams his hand on the table. "People should come and DRINK." He thinks a moment. "We can always pick on Gill," he says with a laugh. "That’s always fun."
Henry blinked. "Who's this Gill, huh?" he asked, leaning on to his arm for support. At least there were something to do and some interesting people in this village. "Whatever, the more the merrier, right? We should drag him down to the bar." He ordered one more beer because he felt like his buzz was starting to get killed. Henry was way past his 'fuck it'-drink, but that didn't stop him from drinking anyway. Because fuck it. They were both drunk and bored anyway.
He quickly downed his beer and tried to conceal a burp before speaking up. "Let's go on an adventure, mate!"
Does anyone want a Henry?
Drunk: Open
He scrunches his brow in thought. “.. Is it running away if you’re not technically running away from anyone? Well.. I was running away from the city and it’s lifestyles that counts don’t it?” He laughed loudly. “It was pretty damn hard dude! I know there was a bump for a while there.”
"No kidding- Really?? What’s that dude’s problem with rocks?" He asks with a laugh. "Man he should take a dating-chicks 101 class. If you offer to carry your girlfriend’s purse, don’t complain about how heavy it is and don’t look in it. And don’t get mad over seeing a rock in it. What she does with the rock is her own damn business," he said with a bit of a smirk.
"Mmmyeah, I know what you mean. Bars here are waaaay different than bars in the city. Like.. there are some cool people around here to go drinking with, but you gotta make sure you come at the right time when they’re around or the bar’s a ghost town," he explained, motioning with his hand to emphasize for no apparent reason except that he’s a bit tipsy and he’s over-exaggerating.
"So it's a common thing to store rocks in purses?" he asked and scratched his cheek. "I wouldn't know, I haven't really looked inside purses." Most of the girls around campus wore backpacks when they had lessons. He didn't really hang out with many girls outside of school.
Henry quickly scanned the bar. There were only two of them there. If it continued on like this, they would probably share sob-stories and complain all night until both of them pass out somewhere. And while that can be fine, he didn't really feel like doing it just tonight. "Whelp, there's not many people here. We should..." he took a short pause as he searched for the words to say, "We should go scouting for adventures. What kind of stuff can you do here?"
Drunk: Open
Starting to down his third drink, Kasey did seem to be getting a bit loud. Nothing yet that said he was beyond drunk, but he was getting there. “Bluh, I guess this should be my last drink, I don’t wanna overdo it. Maaan I down them way too fast!" he pouts.
"Hm? Oh right! Well, I partied hardy a lot," he said, laughing again. “You know, got drunk and got down on the dance floor, dirty danced with a lot of pretty ladies. Well, I took a lady home and we did the whole shebang you know? Did the wild dance in bed. We didn’t exactly have a pleasant morning though, and we had a bit of a fiery argument and I think she hit me with her purse. Not even long after that I did the whole damn thing again, but this time the girl I slept with didn’t wait for me to wake up before leaving. It was then that I laid there in bed, hungover and feeling like crap that I wondered what the hell I was doing with my life. So I did a spur of the moment type thing and decided to move out in the country and become a rancher. I’d kinda seen things in the newspapers about it so I wanted to give it a shot!"
Maybe not so alike after all. "Sounds more like a change of pace than running away, man..." His head started to feel heavy again and he sprawled his arm over the counter and rested his chin on it. "You think she hit you with her purse? How hard did she hit you for you to forget something like that?" A memory from vet school popped up in his head and he couldn't help but to smile. "There was this chick in school who had a ton of bags... She used to have rocks in her bags to make sure they didn't lose their shape when she wasn't using them. However... One day she forgot to take out the rocks in her bag, and her boyfriend complained a lot about the bag being heavy. He eventually took a peek in the bag and that's when he saw a huge rock in the bottom of the bag. They then proceeded to have a small fight over it, but it was hilarious to watch!"
"Drinking out in the boondocks is kinda boring though. Not much going on here in the bar." He sighed and mumbled, "I feel like an alcoholic..."
Drunk: Open
"Huh.. really?" He thought a moment. “Weeeell, he didn’t seem like he was owned by anyone. Real friendly bugger though. Maybe he’s a weasel that acts like a ferret-!" he said, acting pretty shocked at this revelation. He mellowed again pretty quickly. “Naw man, but Chuck’s great. No matter what he is. Though I guess I might keep calling him a ferret. He’s pretty domesticated now," he said with a loud laugh.
He downed the last of his second cocktail. “Aw man you done stupid shit too? Damn we’re like.. birds of a feather or something! I been here a while though, and I find out it’s hard to make good decisions. People always get.. getting mad at me," he bumbled on, calling over for a third cocktail He leaned over and put a hand on Henry’s shoulder. “Dude, there’s one important thing to remember. You gotta be happy man. I’ll tell you I don’t regret moving here even if people get mad at me. I’m as happy as… I’m happy as shit here man! The happiest!" He let out an obnoxious laugh.
He smiled at Kasey. His laughter was contagious, but he suddenly felt a too tired to laugh. Sleep is overrated! Perhaps he could get something with sugar in it so he can stay energetic. He signaled the bartender once again to see if they had anything. Perhaps a fruity alcohol-free drink? Too girly. Cider? Does it have enough sugar in it to keep him awake? Doesn't beer have a lot of sugar? But is he really ready to continue to drink? He pondered for a while until Kasey started talking again. Once again, his laughter made him smile.
"Yeah! Sure is weird though to run in to someone here with a similar past." Or that depended on what he did. "What did you do, man?"
Drunk: Open
He continued drinking the cocktail he had in hand. “Yeah, his name’s Chuck! He’s a real ham for attention though. He likes gettin’ pet and fed treats and stuff, so he’ll sucker up to any person," he says with a laugh. “I bet it’s kinda weird, I don’t hear about a lot of people having ferret pets, but I kinda found him in the forest here, and we’ve been the best of buds since!" He grinned.
He gave a nod, drinking more of the cocktail. “Both I guess. And to get away from the stupid decisions you know?" he gave a bit of a lopsided grin. “I done some things I definitely aren’t proud of." Oh wait. “Definitely… not proud of, yeah."
"But if you found him out in the forest, are you sure it's a ferret? I think ferrets are domesticated. Maybe it ran away from somewhere?" He felt more stupid than normal. All that education could so easily be taken away from him. Nonetheless, it was a weird detail to get hung up on.
"You and me both." Henry said, and then signaled the bartender that he wanted something. Another glass of water. The night was still too young for him to pass out. "I'm still wondering though if running away was the right thing to do."
Drunk: Open
"Heh, I thought that too, til I overdrank and ended up sick to my stomach," he said with a bit of an awkward laugh. “Thaaat wasn’t a fun time." He sipped a bit more slowly at this cocktail. “Ah, really dude? Me too kinda. Yeah, I ran away from the city. Though it wasn’t really running away since I didn’t have anyone telling me to do shit at the time. More like I was getting away," he said, his smile fading for just a bit before coming back full force. “Ha ha I was such an idiot back then. But I love it here!"
"Oh really? That’s sweet! I love animals too, so I love ranching and stuff! I got a couple cows, some chickens, and a duck! Oh- and a pet ferret too!"
"A pet ferret?" That's a bit unusual. Or not really, but... Perhaps a bit unusual for a farmer. He stared at the half-empty glass of water in his hands before tearing away his focus to the guy sitting next to him.
"Get away, huh? Sounds like a story. " He said, renewing his lop-sided smile. "From the people, from the noise?" Kasey seemed like a colourful guy, he could have had an equally colourful past. Weirder things has been discussed under the influence of alcohol.
Drunk: Open
He kind of gave the guy a sympathetic grin. “Well, no one’s forcin’ you to drink if you think you’re gonna like puke or something." He was kinda surprised when he suddenly burst out laughing, but started laughing himself. “Ohoo man you are wasted!" he exclaims.
He chuckles when the guy introduced himself a second time. “Hey man, I agree with you there, animals are the best-" He swigs down the rest of his cocktail. “Oh wait- does that mean you’re a farmer too?" he asks a bit excitedly. In between talking, he quickly requests a refill for his cocktail.
"Nah, seriously though, puking ain't my style. I might be wasted, but I'm not feeling sick or anything." He gave Kasey a lopsided smile, now being able to carry his head without any support from his arm. To celebrate that, he order a glass of water. Water had never felt more refreshing. The weather was quite warm after all, since it was summer. It felt cooler here in Harmonica Town though than in Echo village. Maybe because it was located so close to the ocean.
"Yeah, I decided to become a farmer to run away from my remaining family and the city. I was a vet student, so it's only natural that I enjoy the ranching part more than farming part, eh?" He swirled his glass of water and watched as his empty cocktail glass was removed from the counter. A short pause to think of something to say. "What about you? You seem to have a city-aura from you. Why did you flee the metropolis and come to the countryside?"
Drunk: Open
He received his wheat cocktail and almost downed it all in one go. He laughed. “Sounds like excuses man, you look kinda miserable. Don’t worry, we all overdrink sometimes! I did once, at a wedding reception- I got caught up in a drinking contest and bam! I was wasted," he said with another laugh. “How many did you even have anyways?"
He shook the poor guy’s hand. “Name’s Kasey. Ah, Echo Village, I’ve been there once." He grinned. “I’m a farmer around here in Castanet, though I do like ranching a lot too!" He took a swig of his cocktail. “Happens to me a lot too," he said with a chuckle. “Go out to have a fun time, end up in a bar."
"Just give me some water, and a little time and I'll be able to drink more soon." More excuses and denial.
He laughed a little at the question of how much he had had. Hmm. How much had he had? No, seriously, how much? "I, uh... I can't remember..." he mumbled as he scratched his cheek, like he usually did whenever he was feeling embarrassed. But it quickly disappeared as he burst out in laughing.
"Nice to meet you, Kasey. I'm Henry." 'You already said that, you idiot, go sleep at the inn already.'
"Ranching is the best, man. Animals are so cute and quiet..." He liked quiet, but whenever it was quiet with people, it made him uncomfortable. "Heh, "have a fun time"? What's so fun about drinking, anyway?" He said, before finishing the very last of the glass he had in front of him. Probably shouldn't have done that.
Drunk: Open
Well, farm work was done, and that only meant one thing to Kasey: now it was fun time! There was a bit of happiness in his stride as he swung open the door to the bar. He slid easily into a seat at the counter. “Onneeee wheat cocktail please!" he ordered. He started kicking back as he waited for that to be made.
As he did, he noticed the poor-looking soul nearby. This young looking kid seemed like he was about to pass out or something, laying his head on the counter and looking kinda sick. “Hey man, you okay?" he asked, still kind of nonchalantly. He leaned on the counter to get a better look at him. “You look like you’re ‘bout to throw up dude."
'Ugh, so loud...' Henry tilted his head so he could see who this stranger was. "I'm fine, I know my limits... Just not used to this type of alcohol, I usually only drink beer, or strong liquor. The cocktails here kinda hides the taste of alcohol so I have no idea how strong they are." He tried lifting his head. But like a baby, it felt really heavy so he had to use his left arm for support. He was drunk, but partially refused to admit it to himself. Why? No idea. Maybe because of the alcohol. Probably the alcohol.
Finally managing to straighten his back a bit, he gave the stranger a smile. "But it's all good, you know. Testing your limits, broadening yer views..." With his free hand he offered to shake the stranger's, "I'm Henry, from Echo Village. Came here to buy some stuff that can't be found there and ended up here at the bar somehow."
