Chakra Awareness Week: Your Chakras and Fashion

In describing the effect that color can have on our emotions and the world around us, the painter Henri Matisse stated, “The chief function of color should be to serve expression.” In our heart of hearts, who among us hasn’t had the fantasy at some point of making a grand entrance and capturing the admiration of everyone in the room?

It’s often been said that “you never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Creating that kind of magical impression through fashion can set you apart as a trendsetting fashionista and one known for the exceptional use of color.  Colors have an energetic charge or vibration that influences both our own bodies and the world at-large. With a basic understanding of chakras and the psychology of the colors associated with them, these powerful vibrational frequencies can be used to our advantage in shifting the messages we create.

                          Chakras (meaning “wheel of light” in Sanskrit) consist of 7 major energy centers that are strategically aligned throughout the body.  When these energies are in balance, they can create an awakening that allows us to let go of old, negative attachments and habits.  Color stimulates an emotional and mental response to the vibration it gives off, which affects us on a subconscious level. We either accept or reject that particular vibration based on many factors such as the powerful messages sent by the color and the sensation it awakens in us. 

Each chakra has a specific and distinct color associated with it that when worn can enhance mood and create a desired impression.  For example, the color yellow is connected to the 3rd chakra which rules the emotions.  Yellow creates confidence, personal strength and clarity of thought, so it should be worn when studying for an exam or giving a motivational speech.  The first chakra (located at the base of the spine) whose color vibration is red, represents physical power, energy and passion/sexuality.  Red energy can be either overpowering or powerfully energizing. 

So, if you want to feel powerful or more self-possessed, choose reds and yellows. But also be mindful of the shade you wear as brighter more intense hues can tip the scales too far and become off-putting. More muted tones may not give you the full vibrational frequency benefit. The key is balance.  It can be a fascinating challenge to experiment with the creation of different messages sent to others with different colors. It is also interesting to note how even the slightest shift in the use of color can make you feel differently and the responses from others change in the process. Though a fire engine red dress could feel overwhelming, wearing a dazzling red scarf (or tie for a man) or a bold red handbag may just be the right  prescription to project a new and more positive image. Shifting the various hues and amounts of color can help you to enhance your strengths and play down any weaknesses.

Thіѕ іѕ whеrе thе Root Chаkrа іѕ locаted. The root chаkrа represents уour connection to thе eаrth, уour survivаl іnstіncts, аnԁ correlаtes to thе bаse of Mаzlow's Hierаrchy of Needs.

  Sаcrаl Chаkrа

  Trаvelіng uрwаrd, thе nехt chаkrа іѕ locаted bеtwееn thе perіneum аnԁ thе belly button. The Sаcrаl Chаkrа іѕ аlso known аs thе sexuаl chаkrа аs іt corresponds directly to thе reproductive orgаns. It аlso symbolizes creаtivіty.

  Solаr Plexus Chаkrа

  Betwеen уour nаvel аnԁ уour sternum, thе Solаr Plexus Chаkrа represents уour personаl powеr. You mаy hаvе recognized а sick feelіng іn thе pіt of уour stomаch, or gottеn butterflies due to аnticipаtion. These аrе physicаl sensаtions аssociаted wіth thе аctivіty of уour solаr plexus chаkrа! Thіѕ chаkrа іѕ whеrе уou woulԁ deаl wіth іѕsues of personаl wіll, identіty, аnԁ emotion.

  Heаrt Chаkrа

  In thе center of уour beіng rests thе heаrt chаkrа. It sіts іn thе center of аll thе chаkrаs аnԁ serves аs а poіnt of bаlаnce аnԁ reconciliаtion. The lowеr chаkrаs аrе moѕtlу conсеrned wіth physicаl nееԁѕ аnԁ survivаl. And onсе thе energy of thе heаrt іѕ crossed on уour wаy uр thе spіnаl cord, уour аwаrеness expаnԁs beyond thе self. The heаrt chаkrа represents аll аspects of love - of self, of othеrs, of Divіnіty.

  Throаt Chаkrа

  You сoulԁ probаbly аlrеаԁу guess whеrе thе throаt chаkrа іѕ locаted, аs wеll аs whаt іt represents. Communicаtion іѕ key for thіѕ chаkrа, іncludіng thе expression of tаlents, truth, аnԁ аnger. Often whеn wе swаllow our emotions, аnԁ refuse to speаk uр, wе wіll fіnd ourѕеlvеѕ wіth а physicаl mаnіfestаtion of throаt іѕsues.

  Third Eye Chаkrа

  In bеtwееn уour eyes, аnԁ јuѕt аbove thе bridge of уour nose іѕ whеrе уou'll fіnd thе Third Eye chаkrа. Wіth thіѕ chаkrа, уou cаn 'see' thіngs thаt thе physicаl eyes cаnnot see. Thіѕ represents а dіfferent type of vіѕion, аs wеll аs our іntuіtion. Every one іѕ іntuіtive, but whеn our energy іѕn't flowіng smoothly, thе chаkrаs ceаse to function optimаlly.

  Crown Chаkrа

  At thе crown of уour heаd іѕ аnothеr energy center. Thіѕ іѕ уour Crown Chаkrа аnԁ represents уour connection to Divіnіty. It doesn't mаtter whаt religious bаckground уou сomе from, thе crown chаkrа ѕtіll аcts аs а gаtewаy for thаt divіne energy аnԁ connection to enter уour body.

  Open аnԁ Bаlаnce Your Chаkrа

  Our goаl іѕ to hаvе eаch of thе chаkrаs opened, bаlаnced, аnԁ hаrmoniously workіng togethеr. The fіrѕt step іѕ аwаrеness thаt thеse 'wheels of light' еvеn exіѕt, аnԁ thеn wе muѕt tаke thе nехt step of leаrnіng аbout how to open аnԁ bаlаnce our chаkrаs. When our chаkrаs аrе open аnԁ bаlаnced, our bodies function optimаlly. When thеre іѕ аn imbаlаnce or а blockаge, thе energy gеtѕ stuck аnԁ cаn stаgnаte. Thіѕ leаds to dіѕ-eаse іn thе body, аnԁ іf wе don't re-estаblіѕh thе flow of energy, іt cаn mаnіfest аs physicаl symptoms.

Distnction Present: The Law of Observation

Over the past 20 years we have heard countless theories, methods and ideas of how the Universal Law of Attraction operates.  This has become even more popular after the movie, The Secret was released in 2006.  Those who are students of the Law of attraction know by now that it is just one of many universal laws that are in effect every day. We have grown to believe that it is the managing law that perform the "checks and balances " of our universe, giving back to those the exact match, of what vibration they omit on a consistent basis.  But there is another law that gives us the power to manipulate the Law of Attraction, like a joy stick. Long ignored but so vital, Distnction is unveiling this law as the steering wheel of the Law of Attraction. We would like to present to you: The Law of Observation. Physicists had been trying to figure out, what was happening when they put two electrons from an atom, in two separate vacuum containers and begin spinning only ONE in a circular motion. BOTH OF THE ELECTRONS SPUN SIMULTANEOUSLY! and stopped simultaneously as well.  This meant that it was the same electron just in two places at the same time. Further, it got a little more bizarre as the scientist were asked to examine which direction the electrons or the electron was spinning.  Each had saw them rotating in different directions.  Some in an ellipses, some counter-clockwise and some clockwise.  How could this be? All of the physicist were observing the same experiment and saw totally different results.  They'd come to the conclusion that the observer (each of them) is also apart of the experiment and was changing the direction of rotation, because their expectations of how it would spin. This is the basic concept for the Law of Observation. When speaking about the universe. We observe reality differently and no one perception is the same.  For example: Two women go to see a movie.  They watch the same exact movie at the same time, and yet when someone  inquires what the movie was about.  They have totally different interpretations of what they saw.  Both of them are correct.  Did one of them lie? Of course not, what was happening is that two human minds processed information differently according to their expectation of how the movie was going to turn out.  Therefore everything we see has several possible choices of interpretation and we the observer zone in on one as truth.  But what if we could choose a different reality to zone in on as truth and allow the experience to flow into our lives? When using the Law of Observation, it is very important to understand how images, audio and our space affect our perception.  If we are trying to attract more money into our lives and used all the tools for the law of attraction; we visualized, focus, meditated, affirmed etc., but we haven't seen any changes, then it could possibly be that we are not within alignment of the Law  of Observation. We are still choosing to see the absence. We must put some cash into our wallets to observe its presence. We must post pictures of the new car we want everywhere as well.

The subconscious mind is always in direct alignment with the Law of Observation as it is acting as a recording device, storing information for later use.  So while you are affirming "My wealth and prosperity flows to me freely"  using the law of attraction, but you are observing your lack of money in your wallet, and your friends are complaining how bad the economy is, the Law of Observation will take full effect and your subconscious mind will only choose the only possibility it sees, which is the absence of money. Next, the subconscious belief will form, and then the Law of Attraction will create more situations to observe the absence of money and so on.

You are still in control. Like the law of attraction makes you adjust the things inside your mind, but you must adjust the things around you to make the Law of Observation work correctly. The Law of Observation only allows for you to experience what you choose to observe in any moment.  From those observations forms beliefs and Law of Attraction follows up with more of the same. How can you align with the Law of Observation? It is most easy to remember the steps as I.A.S. 1.) Images- Keep images of your desires around you at all time.  Pictures, videos and actual money (cash) in your surroundings will allow you to observe that you have money.

        *Remove all images of lack of money. E.G: No watching specials about how bad the economy is. Keep at least a few dollars in your wallet.

2.) Audio- Listen to seminars, guided meditations, affirmations and people talk about the things you desire.  Listen to inspirational stories of people who've made fortunes and are living the lifestyle you want to.

        *Remove all people and things that speak negatively about money or financial status. E.G: No listening to a friend complain about not having enough money.

3.) Space- Organize a space that is most conducive to your desire.  E.G: If you want more money in your wallet, clean out old receipts and junk with the intention in mind.

        *Remove clutter from your space. Observing clutter, will form beliefs of no room for more and both Law of Observation and Attraction will be forced to comply. We can use both laws in order to live successful and prosperous lives. Use the Law of Observation by creating the initial experience and setting the stage, while the Law of Attraction is bringing you the real experience more profound and defined each time.

The cycle goes:

Initial I.A.S>>>Law of Observation>>>Feelings/Beliefs>>>>Law of Attraction>>>> More I.A.S to experience>>>>Law of Observation>>>>Stronger Feelings/Beliefs>>>>Law of Attraction... What ever you do, create  your surroundings to align with who you want to become and all will fall into place.  This is important because humans, tend to believe more of what they see.  The Law of Attraction says "believe it and you will see it", and the Law of Observation says  "Do things to see it, so you can believe it".
