I'm not sure if posting about this will do anything since her fandom here seems to be nonexistent, but it really disturbs me that the majority of Kerli's online content has moved behind a paywall and what's left for free -- at least on Instagram -- are things she reposts to her stories preaching about gender essentialism, Satanic Panic 2.0 including "victims" from the first go-round spouting BS about "SRA" and "repressed memory recall therapy," and the most recent, shared just a few nights ago, ableist bullshit about how people with ADHD actually aren't challenged or disordered in any way because they're actually here to call into question the way life is being lived right now and usher in a new, higher-frequency way of being, blah blah blah -- the same thing that's been said in New Age circles about autistic people for at least a decade now. This last was also spouted off by AI and started by saying, "According to the Akashic Records..."
And to make matters worse she doesn't even stick around to engage with her fans on Instagram. She just posts this garbage and goes back to Patreon, not even waiting to see how it will be received or have any kind of meaningful conversation about it. At best this content can be looked at as misguided, but at worst and more accurately it's irresponsible and harmful to post this stuff during a time when basic critical thinking and literacy skills are at an all-time low. Not to mention you can't call yourself a witch and simultaneously engage with technology that is destroying the planet you claim to have such respect and reverence for.
So many other spiritual leaders/thinkers/influencers have been taken to task for similar antics, especially in the New Age community. I can't see the conversations that are happening behind the scenes because I can't afford to give to her Patreon, but I can't imagine anything worthwhile is being said or taken to heart when this has been going on for months now. New Age and Christianity have been battling for the past fifteen or so years to see who can brainwash the most people and it needs to be stopped. I've been following Kerli since 2008; despite being into this stuff for years she always seemed to have a good head on her shoulders and the ability to question what needed to be questioned, but I guess the hive mind got to her as well. It's really disappointing to see -- especially since it seems like all of my heroes from middle school are currently on some morally reprehensible bullshit or other.
I really hope someone who has access to her Patreon content speaks up soon, before her content finds the wrong impressionable person. If it hasn't already.
When I feel super low, I usually engage in self-inquiry to dig out the reasons why I feel this way. They could be past trauma or limiting beliefs that I need to release, thought patterns that I need to shift, or signs that I need to change certain aspects of my physical life.
However, there are also days when it is perfectly normal to feel a bit low. In fact, happy days and low days coexist in order to provide contrast in life, and they can both serve as guides. So it is not necessarily that "low days = bad" and "happy days = good". It very much depends on your perspective, and how you choose to use those experiences.
Healing is about unlearning
Unlearning the limiting and harmful beliefs we have absorbed throughout our lives.
Unlearning our self-sabotaging habits.
Unlearning the fight-or-flight responses we developed because of past trauma, because we are safe now.
